El arte es una manifestación que ilumina los sentidos, así siento cada pincelada o trazo, sea propia o ajena. Las obras artísticas están hechas para la contemplación, el deleite a través de la observación trasciende la época en las cuales fueron concebidas y su impacto social-cultural será marcado por el mensaje que se desee comunicar.

Un artista en formación es capaz de aprender si educa su mirada, reconociendo el valor y el talento de otros, pues el conocimiento empírico se fortalece con el académico. Las pinturas deben ser observadas desde una visión objetiva y crítica, analizando las formas, los elementos plásticos, el encaje, la perspectiva, la superposición de objetos o figuras y las técnicas utilizadas, de modo que este tipo de prácticas aumente los saberes.

Me fui con mis compañeros de clases a la Galería de Arte "Julio Urbaneja", la cual está ubicada en la Escuela de Artes, hicimos este recorrido acompañado del profesor Jesús Mora, quién nos iba dando sus impresiones sobre la exposición. Cabe mencionar que este docente también tenía algunas de sus obras exhibidas en este momento, haciendo halago de sus capacidades pictóricas.

Art is a manifestation that illuminates the senses, so I feel each brushstroke or line, whether it is mine or someone else's. Artworks are made for contemplation, the delight through observation transcends the times in which they were conceived and their social-cultural impact will be marked by the message to be communicated.

An artist in training is able to learn if he educates his gaze, recognizing the value and talent of others, because empirical knowledge is strengthened with academic knowledge. Paintings should be observed from an objective and critical vision, analyzing the forms, the plastic elements, the fit, the perspective, the superposition of objects or figures and the techniques used, so that this type of practice increases knowledge.

I went with my classmates to the "Julio Urbaneja" Art Gallery, which is located in the School of Arts, we made this tour accompanied by Professor Jesús Mora, who was giving us his impressions about the exhibition. It should be mentioned that this teacher also had some of his works exhibited at this time, making a compliment of his pictorial abilities.

Distintos artistas se dieron cita en este lugar, entre los exponentes tenemos a: Álvaro Vargas, A. Mata Morales, Felipe Meneses, Francisco Arenas, José Barreto, Jesús Mora, Eduardo Leslie y Miguel Rivero. Entre sus manos pudimos apreciar diferentes enfoques, la construcción de formas, la profundidad por capas de colores, la expresión de una experiencia, el sentir de un grupo desde diferentes estilos. La técnica utilizada fue óleo sobre tela. Aquí se muestra esa visión sensible al mundo, la cual es capaz de generar empatía desde realidades similares.

El motivo temático que prevaleció en esta galería fue el paisaje marino y urbano. La ciudad como referente es un tópico recurrente en los artistas locales y, no puede ser diferente, al estar rodeados de tantos escenarios hermosos. La pintura que más me impresionó fue realizada con una espátula como principal utensilio, el relieve se hace notorio en el lienzo y se consiguen texturas distintas, me parece que la estructura del todo está muy bien lograda.

The predominant theme in this gallery was the marine and urban landscape. The city as a reference is a recurrent topic in local artists and, it can't be different, to be surrounded by so many beautiful scenarios. The painting that impressed me the most was made with a spatula as the main utensil, the relief is notorious in the canvas and different textures are achieved, it seems to me that the structure of the whole is very well achieved.

En este espacio también pudimos observar una pequeña maqueta sobre una puesta en escena. La construcción de los personajes era muy curiosa. Adicional a ello, encontramos una retrato del reconocido pintor venezolano Armando Reverón, un hombre que ha dejado un gran legado artístico y cultural. El pasado 10 de mayo se celebró el día del artista plástico, una fecha simbólica, pues es el natalicio de dicho pintor, se busca conmemorar todos los aportes en esta área. Es interesante conocer la vida de Reverón porque nos aporta luces para entender su ideología y comportamiento excéntrico.

En definitiva, fue una experiencia gratificante, llena de aprendizajes, compartir con otros, siempre genera ese feedback interesante que te ayuda a descubrir elementos que ignorabas o a entender cómo otros perciben lo mismo que tú observas. El arte es vida, el arte es pasión.
