In 1964, in Cumaná-Venezuela they built an 11-story building where the new headquarters of the Antonio Patricio de Alcalá University Hospital began to operate. A doctor who had a great friendship with my mother, since she had been making clothes for her since she was a child, went to look for her at her house so that she could work as a seamstress in that hospital. From that moment on she remained there working, making the doctors' gowns, caps and cloth boots to operate in the operating room or other departments and all the textile material required by the clinic. Her working hours were from 7 in the morning until 3 in the afternoon.

On the second street, 5 houses away from ours, lived Mrs. Teodorita whom Leonides was very fond of, he considered her his second mother, my mother asked her to come home once a day, to see how we were doing. She always came around one o'clock in the afternoon. 

At that time, Leonides bought a sound system so that we would listen to music only on the days she played. When we were teenagers: Me, Otilia, Adelfa and Carolina with 4 more friends: Alfredo, Renato, Edwin and Jesus, between us there was always a mutual affection since we were kids. And since we were in school vacations. We were invited to dance to pop music from 2 pm to 3 pm. We agreed on that time because neither my mom nor Teodorita were going to show up at home at that time. We had dancing for a week.

The other week we did the same thing, one of those days my mom left work early, when she arrived she inserted the key in the lock of the door, we did not notice because of the immense noise of the music and when she came in she found us with the dance on, I was almost on the floor and everyone else was dancing another step. When I saw her I was paralyzed, she gave me a garrotera similar to that of the chavo, my face was very pale like the pallor of a Magnolia. My mother walked towards the sound system and turned it off pointing her index finger at me, in front of everyone she said to me:


"You are bullies, I have given you an order and you disobey. As punishment you will not listen to music from this device for 3 months, addressing everyone he said:

 "Do me the favor of vacating my house". One by one they paraded and left.

After a while, when my mother was calmer, she called me and said: "I think I went too far when I scolded you in front of everyone, I am angry that you contradict the orders I give you".

A few days later my best friends with whom I had organized the dances.  They came to my house to apologize to my mom. They said to her:
 
 "We are very sorry for the incident we had here in your house, we want you to forgive us and to allow us to come and visit your daughter who is worth gold, we love her very much."  My mother said: 

"I forgive you, because I see the great affection you have for my daughter, besides you can come to my house whenever you want".

My mother, as a result of what happened, put all her trust in me. Mrs. Teodorita no longer needed to supervise me. She migrated to Cumanacoa to take care of her chickens and animals that she had in her country house.

Over the years I got married and had my first daughter and so great is the bond of friendship between my seven friends that I baptized her and her godparents were my 4 friends and the godmothers, my 3 friends, arising between us a kinship through this Catholic ritual as is the compadrazgo.

At present we maintain this kinship that unites us as a family, my other children also call them godfathers and godmothers and ask for their blessing.

My mother continued working at the hospital. Over the years, she retired and collected her retirement pension.  At 92, she moved on to another dimension.
