Hi Steemit! I just finished reading a motivational and personal development book, and I want to share with you some ideas that I find very helpful for people who want to have success in life!

The book name is **Sometimes You Win Sometimes You Learn**, and it was written by **John Maxwell**.

Reading this book, I understood that I must work hard, have patience, change myself, be open-minded and get new habits if I want to be successful.

## Ideas from the book

**Adversities** - it doesn’t matter how many you have in your life, you must get wiser and learn everything you can. It is hard, you will suffer, but finally, you will succeed, and you will be better than before! Adversities have the purpose to make you more ambitious and determined, not to drown you.

**Problems** - are opportunities to learn. Despite all the problems you encounter in your life you have to confront them and come with a solution, overcoming them is what matters. There are some basic rules you can follow to be sure that you think correctly: 

-    don’t underestimate a problem by ignoring it,
-    don’t overestimate a problem (otherwise you will make your brain go crazy), 
-    don’t wait for others to find a solution for your question, 
-    don’t make the problem worse by overthinking or negative;
-    anticipate the problem
-    communicate the problem to implied people
-    evaluate and analyze it
-    appreciate it, even if it sounds paradoxical

Unpleasant experiences are the best ways to learn and get more experienced. What can you do?

-    Accept the fact that you are a human being that can make mistakes. On the other hand, you have to learn how to manage your errors and you have an obligation to learn what to do after and never repeat them.
-    Have a sense of humor. Try to find some good or funny things according to your bad situation.
-    Never cry for yourself. Stand up and do something instead.
-    Do not let the unpleasant experiences turn into a disaster
-    Turn bad situations into good ones

**Changing** - if you want to be successful you need to change yourself and many times the people which surround you.

-    Change yourself. If you want to have something new in your life, you must do something you never did to get it. 
-    Change your attitude. 
-    Search for people who also want to have success in life and to be a better human being.  If you have friends who do not work hard to obtain a different kind of things in their life, just get rid of them. They are just a waste of your limited time on earth!
-    Don’t be mediocre. Think different, manage your feelings and actions different and the most important thing: forget what you know to learn what you do not know (it is the hardest thing you can do because people usually tend to do only what they know and what they are used to)
-    Be open minded! Always accept new things and people in your life

**Responsibility** - is one of the success’ keys. If you aren’t responsible, you will start to see you as a victim and to see things in a wrong way. But, when you are responsible, you begin to learn new things, you correctly see things, and you become stronger and stronger.

Change your daily habits!! It’s the best thing you can to. Get rid of everything you are used to doing and starting a day by doing only what is necessary, even if you don’t want to.
