Ethereum is UP and passed a new ATH. So are many other variants of our "fake" currencies, as many nay-sayers refer to them. But it seems this pessimistic or ignorant view of the product of blockchain technology is slowly becoming a thing of the past. More and more people are embracing the concept of digital currency, as the total marketcap of cryptocurrencies is reaching greater heights. Why would this be?

Sure, a reasonable amount of this increase might be this so-called "institutional" money flowing in, being millionaires, billionaires, banks, wallstreet, etc. But I do believe that a lot of "common folk" are biting as well. And among those not all of them are tech savvy as was the norm a few years back. This points to crypto moving along a path towards mainstream acceptance at a healthy pace.

Economies all over the world slowly or in some cases quickly failing also have something to do with this. In my own country banks have started implementing absurd rules, limits on how much money you can withdraw, unreasonable service fees, and other random things without much notice. The helpless feeling this gives people surely enables someone to view more lucrative alternatives in another light. Hive and similar platforms are another big part of this, giving clear use cases to those that do not understand or care about the tech stuff. Many changes are upon us, and we are moving toward a new financial normal, the only question is: are you ready?

Great points bro. So much of what we do is out of necessity. We tend to delay action until the action becomes a requirement. Most times somehow success is tied to effort. Whether it’s the effort of those who went before us, our own efforts or the collective effort groups like Hive.

Those who can afford to, pay others to make the effort and those who can’t afford to do it themselves. Of course the people at the top are always motivated to maintain the status quo you know banks, large companies etc. Truth be told they can afford to change course whenever they want so in the end. The top for the most part remains the same. 

Sadly many of us won’t make a move unless our survival depends on it so the move upwards is not even part of our vision.

Somehow I almost missed this comment! :O

But it's all a matter of mindset when it comes to those who don't make a move. Sure, risky moves may not be as comfortable with less financial power, but with the right strategy someone can certainly have a backup fund for at least 2 years, so they can make whatever steps they want, whether it be starting a new business or something else. You are right though, most won't do something like that unless it's an only option in terms of survival.

Lol if they calling cryptocurrency fake we might as well call all currency fake, fact is they all are alike to crypto to fluctuate with one exception they don't move like crypto.  The fed prints dollars, tether prints tether.  Correct me if I'm wrong

One of them is regulated but a centralized power we choose every four to five years by standing in line for hours believing they want to improve our quality of life.
