##### Another Sunday and another meal with affordable locally sourced produce. The coming week will be a difficult one in terms of work, with the thesis and all. That means healthy food filled with the necessary nutrients is always the way to go. The customary holy trinity is usually starch, green and meat, but this time it was green, green and meat. Oh, and if you got that title reference, you are awesome. :)

##### We got a leafy grean called "Klaroen" from my parents. My dad grows a bunch of it in the yard of the house where his parents used to live. So they gave us about half of the harvest. We also had a batch of "kouseband" which are those stringy beans you've seen in my previous posts. And the last component, which was not costly at all at the local butcher, was beef liver.

##### First thing you always not to do with beef liver is have it puncture to tenderize the meat. You can ask the butcher to do it or do it yourself with a fork. And then, also very important, cook it through in water. Once it is cooked properly, you can remove it, and continue with whatever you're making. Which is exactly what I did.

##### I cut min in chunky slices first. Then in a pot I heated some vegetable oil, threw in the garlic first as always. After that some thinly sliced onions, minced ginger, and minced chili peppers. That is basically the flavor base for my sauce, after also adding tomato paste chopped tomatoes. A bit of black soy sauce, nutmeg, salt and black pepper to taste and the sauce is ready. All that was left was to toss in the liver and let everything simmer and become one.

##### Beef liver may look weird to some of you, but I can guarantee you it's super delicious.

##### The leafy green klaroen is one of my favorites, with the tajerblad (arrow leaf) above it. I find that it's especially good with small shrimps throughout. Luckily we are stocked up on those. So in the shrimp went, after I fried some garlic in a pan. Top it with some melted butter and salt, and that is that.

##### Nothing fancy done with the kouseband, as that is great as is when steamed with a bit of salty water.
