☝ As a rule, the males of the birds are brightly colored in order to show the females themselves in all their glory. Bright plumage indicates the good health of the male, and the female chooses the strongest, healthiest, most promising male to pass on these genes to her offspring.

**The common redstart (Phoenicurus phoenicurus)**
Very beautiful and bright birds. It's funny that in the summer, the males are very brave, and are ready to sacrifice themselves to protect the offspring and the female.

One of the brightest birds. The female is painted a little differently, she has a white bottom of the body. And the males are completely yellow.
