Repeatedly meeting questions in a style "Why do we need steemit, what to do there?"
   Well...
Previously, I wrote articles, made long posts on a variety of similar social sites. And I did not find them on the response and interest. The matter of focus, one can say, the ideology of such sites.
They are mostly entertainment. People visit them for recreation and entertainment.
There where I previously publish my articles, one site was mostly focused on entertainment content, serious issues there is not welcomed, and even condemned. On another site, it has developed a ready-made company, and new people are simply ignored.

Still, I think so, the matter is in the intellect. I do not want to offend anyone, but it seems to me that steemit people have a fairly high level of intelligence. It is easy to understand for the focus and trend of posts. There are mainly technical posts, posts about cryptocurrency, blokchain, new technology. Doing these things can only be an intelligent and educated man. Yes, of course there is full of spammers who write all the small stuff, it saddens.

With regard to payment of posts . 
I also had participated in the signature campaign (although, still belong in  one campaign).
   The pay was small, I had only to write on a particular subject and in strictly defined sections of the forum. I was very constrained and limited, in the end it is very tired and bored.
   And here in steemit I can write on any topic that interest me! I can express all that I think. Steemit gives freedom of thought and creativity! And the most wonderful thing that people generally react to it! I do not feel lonely and useless!
Steemit for me gives more **freedom** in contrast to the other blogosphere.
