Very important point.  As with any investment, we need to have some idea as to why and under what conditions we might sell, and in the case of precious metals it's especially important to have this exit plan.  I think it' wise to diversify how PMs are held, with some in private vault with an quick and easy buy/sell platform, such as Goldmoney, and some in personal possession which could be sold locally or easily transported, that way, you have the best of both worlds and not all your golden eggs are in one basket.

I've sold locally just to go thru the motions and test it out. Now I'm just stacking/collecting as much as I can. It's such a fun hobby! I plan on selling it off when I'm old and it's worth a ton more. It'll help me fund my retirement. I want to be a happy old man and not have to eat catfood 😝

Most likely it will be the LCS. Ebay worries me as a seller that nothing prevents a fraudulent buyer to claim his money back and keep the product.

I was thinking sell back to online dealers...If not the YES like you said LOCAL DEALERS

Certainly hope I never have to sell but I've made lots of great connections along the way, I'm sure a lot of them are always buyers.

I generally sell when i can unlock profit then buy more with the profit. wait a bit then sell that. other stuff i buy to sell as soon as posible be that on ebay the lcs or where ever gonna give you best price. selling a whole stack in one go is another big problem as narrows down who will but it.. best use a dealer for that you know and trust all depends how big the stack is.. but selling all the time stuff i can make a profit on now helps my stack grow.

It's a good idea Ray for people to start planning and talking about an exit strategy. Cheers

I'm thinking none-of-the-above.   When TSHTF and PMs go to-da-moon, I'm sure there will be many, many more exit options available.

Look at what happened when Gold got near 2K, Cash-for-Gold stores popped up everywhere.  Granted, those stores are rip-offs, but it shows that the higher gold goes, the more exit opportunities will become available.

Look at Bitcoin as a second example.  Less than 10 years old, it's well on it's way past to moon and on it's way to Jupiter.  You're starting to see more and more businesses accept this new currency.

I think there will be more and more exit opportunities in the future.
