<h1>Preface</h1>
You thought blender was only for 3d rendering, well it isn't because it provides a full video editing suite you can use it to take image and make them into a video!
This guide makes some assumptions and I will try to list them here:

1.You will need blender installed: https://www.blender.org/

2.This guide has been done on ubuntu but will likely work for windows as well.

3.You have a basic understanding of file terminology on computers.

I have intentionally kept the complexity of this video very low for the learning process but these steps will allow you to create almost any video you like. 

<h1>Right onto it:</h1>
So we have opened up blender and we are presented with this screen, we can click anywhere on the canvas to get rid of the intro window.

Now we want to go over to the video editing view. Do this by clicking on the default view selection.

Now we can add the assets we want to work with here do this by clicking on add in the bottom panel. Please note that you an add almost any type of asset you like from other video lips to audio to images. For this guide we are going to be adding two images.

Now that we have added the first asset we have a little bar on our time line that represents it's space in the timeline.

Select the second asset and add it as well.

By shift right clicking both assets we can add effect strips between them.

That is pretty much all we are going to do in this guide, now we need to go back to the default view.

Don't forget to change your save location and file type for this we are going to use mpeg but there are lots of options here.
For our final step we need to render animation which will output the file to the location you specified. and we are done!!
