"For donors, it only takes the click of a transfer button to the account provided by the charity.From the view of the mosque, it opens a stream of new donation funds from around the world," Musial added commenting on bitcoin.
Some scholars, such as the Grand Mufti of Egypt, say that bitcoin is not permitted under Islamic law.
However, Abdalla Adeyemi, imam of Shacklewell Mosque, defended the decision to make bitcoin as an alternative to charity and charity.
"Bitcoin ... is accepted by a group of people, we do not trade it ... we are charities," Adeyemi said.
Shacklewell Mosque says it is one of the few organizations that received crypto currencies from hundreds in London. And the move is paying off.
