<div class="text-justify">Greetings again my dear friends of this prestigious platform, at present we have witnessed the dizzying growth of investments in cryptocurrencies, this undoubtedly attracts the attention of many unscrupulous people to try to generate any technological tool and extract or steal our cryptographic investments.

In recent days I have learned of some cryptographic investment losses through the metamask wallet, and in fact this is a reality to which we must take into account those who use this wallet, personally I was an eyewitness of one of these cases with a person close to the family.

This person wanted to invest some dollars in a NFT game, so he installed Metamask to acquire the token of this game, and for this, he had to transfer BNB to his metamask wallet, so he proceeded to copy the address of the same in Binance, however, this transaction never reached the expected destination.

We proceeded to help this person to find the cause of this problem and we found that he had not manually added the <b>Smart Chain network</b>, but in this game he got a link to automatically add the Smart Chain network, we could verify this because he copied an address from the Metamask, but pasted another address.

We could say that it turned out to be a classic beginner's mistake, however, it is important to take into account any aspect that will help us protect our investments made from Metamask.

In many occasions without realizing it, we get used to leave our computer on wherever we are, either at home or in another place where we decide to look for internet, therefore, it is advisable to control the opening time of Metamask, and in this way we set the time of inactivity in minutes as short as possible, so that Metamask is blocked, in this case select 0.5 minutes or 30 seconds as you can see in the following pictures.

In this way our metamask will close every 30 seconds and if someone wants to enter, he/she should have the password, this in case of any carelessness with our laptop, in the same way we must be very careful not to connect to public access networks because we could be victims of an intruder.

Sometimes we use our metamask in many websites and this allows them to see our address, and also, what are our investments, something we do every day, however, sometimes we connect to one of these sites that is new and we are not sure that this site is dangerous or not, then, we can remove the authorization to these sites that do not generate confidence, and we will not use again as you can see below.

In this way we can eliminate some of these sites that we do not want to visualize the information of our wallet, and thus, do not have the information of our movements in the future, of course, these are just some small recommendations, however, we must be updating us.

In short, there are many vulnerabilities when using metamask and therefore from the moment we install them we have to take care of any security detail and avoid as much as possible to be victims of any hacking, the important thing is to keep us informed of the various forms of hacks to take the necessary precautions.

Personally I keep my investments in my laptop which I do not take out anywhere and if I do it is for a very safe place of connectivity.
