In the last few months, playing “Splinterlands” (aka Steem Monsters) has become my daily "To-Do" list, trying to get higher up on the leaderboard for the season as well as earning the daily quest reward cards. The launch of Dark Energy Crystals (DEC) has brought a lot of excitement to the game as well! For people who don’t already know, DEC is the in-game currency which you can earn by either “burning” your cards or winning battles in ranked games. I have been collecting DEC for the last month and earned 66k so far! Not sure what I will do with it, but for the moment I will just hold on to them, lol! Last night I got a pleasant surprise in my daily reward cards opening. I got three powerful Legendary cards on one page: *Ruler of the Seas, Black Dragon and Sacred Unicorn*!
