We are in the memecoin trend and it’s crazy to see just how liquidity is being pumped into these meme projects. We have always been advised to only invest in crypto coins and tokens with real utility so as not to get rekt, such is considered smart investment, but with the rate at which meme coins are pumping and turning people into millionaires over night, I can’t help but think of crypto developers who spend years of their lives devoting to creating crypto with real utility only to have memecoins surpass them in value and liquidity.  I have been investing in crypto for more than 2 years and I have seen a lot of under valued, and less appreciated projects, let’s take Hive for instance. Hive is unarguably one of the best crypto technologies out there but it’s been around $200 Million market cap for a very long time except one time during the bull market when it got to $1 Billion. That was a proud moment for me, because $1 Billion is a huge number. But here we have memecoins getting over $200 Million Market cap and they are not yet up to a month since their launch date. Crypto deals with utility and use case but recently, with memecoins it seems like utilities and use cases don’t matter. They just have a community with massive liquidity to pump and possibly dump a project. This is something we are currently seeing, because, how can someone convert $25 to over a million dollars in less than a month with $Pepe memecoin. We are in a bear market but memecoins are making some people feel like they are in a bull run because of how volatile they have been. Well, if you are feeling bad for not investing in any of these memecoins, don’t worry you are not alone, but just remember that this is just a phase. Remember the Solana memecoin trend in January, it’s dead now, now we are having memecoin trend on the Arbitrum trend. In as much as I will always advocate for coins with real utilities, I still want to make money from these memecoin trend. This is why I will be taking some time to do some research about memecoins, and probably invest some money. I will be investing little money I can afford to lose, because I am trying to go where the money is while stacking my utility token portfolio.

I think the memecoin trend is also fueled by the attention economy on social media. It still amazes how people can make that amount of money from a memecoin like $pepe. The short term opportunity is very lucrative if one can get it right. Good luck with riding the trend :)
