Cute to see how these Web 2.0 giants are trying their best to make sure they get involved in crypto. Facebook (Meta) has come with another idea of incorporating NFTs across its social network, Instagram. Apparently, rumor has it that you will be able to mint NFTs within your Instagram. Sounds great seems like their little steps into the metaverse phase. But does the world trust them anymore? We saw the Facebook(Meta) stock tank after its change of name announcement.  <center>[source](https://www.fastcompany.com/90731992/mark-zuckerberg-announces-nfts-are-coming-to-instagram-soon)</center> Lots of people criticized the idea because the idea just seemed like one where Mark Zuckerberg will certainly take advantage of. Imagine having a metaverse where more than 2 billion people are on. Can you imagine the level of influence and power he is going to have? Once again, without doubt, Hive is way ahead of it’s time. If the world is looking for a Web 3.0 social media platform where they can socialize, have control, be decentralized and also make money, why not take the Hive advantage? I really don’t know how Meta(Facebook) plans on minting NFT from Instagram. Are they going to convert Instagram into Web 3.0 thereby incorporating blockchain into it. I don’t know how possible that is, but I guess time will tell. **The People’s Trust** How many people will like to trust their digital assets with Meta? If you don’t mind trusting your asset with Meta then by guest. I have tasted Web 2.0 and I have tasted Web 3.0, trust me, I prefer Web 3.0. Hive has truly got us so spoilt and showed us our worth that we can’t settle for less any more. Hive gives you total ownership and doesn’t sell your privacy and data. Where would you rather trust your digital asset on? **Creating PR For NFTs** We all saw the massive exposure Facebook created for metaverse with its change of brand name announcement. I found lots of people talking about the metaverse and asking questions about the metaverse. I was so shocked when I heard a complete crypto noob who had little knowledge in crypto ask me about metaverse and how he heard about from Facebook’s change of name. We know Facebook (Meta) to have contributed a lot in the social media culture. Facebook has lots of influence, due to its large influence and audience, information is easily dispersed on Facebook. Be ready to have lots of people talk about NFTs soon when it becomes a norm on Facebook and Instagram. Facebook has tried to get involved in crypto so hard and it has not been successful for them. I hope this one becomes a success or reality for Facebook. Just a friendly concern towards their consistent effort in trying to get involved into crypto.
