###### <center>When it comes to computers I just know how to use it but I don't know how to repair it. To be honest I did fix some things on several occasions on my own by watching some You Tube tutorial videos! True story.  </center>

#### <center>My laptop is more than  6 years old. It's HP ProBook 4535s (Windows 7) 
and it's been through a lot! 
It's battery died more than 2 years ago and I still have to replace it. 
(But that seem to be the last thing on my mind, so I keep forgetting all about it.)  
However, I've noticed many months ago it had *trouble breathing* and was *warming up* so very quickly making lots of *noise* at the same time. 
*Heating up* is more appropriate term in this case. 
Really, really hot and very, very noisy. 
I considered taking it to the shop but due to luck of time I never did. 
Continued observing it was in real struggle, until a few weeks ago it couldn't start up!!! 
OMG. 
I was very much upset but not surprised. 
So, the first message looked like this:

<center>Tried restarting it in normal mode but it kept on switching off by itself all the times because after less than half minute it was so heated up it was collapsing immediately. 
After 3-4 times of immediate switching off I couldn't switch it on any longer. 
O M G.  
Now what?!? 
I thought it was gone forever together with all my photos and all my data. 
Gone. Forever. </center>

<center>While all of this was going on I happened to be hoovering the house at the same time. </center>
When I've realized my laptop was done and was not going to switch on or start up any longer I just took a deep breath, stopped for a while and decided to take 5 or more minutes in order to process this issue and make peace with it, then decide what to do next with calm.  
While working on acknowledging the problem and getting rid off any stress about it,
all of a sudden I spotted that hoover  on the floor in the middle of the room.

Next thing I've found myself doing was hovering that dead laptop all over the place (except the keyboard)! 
I was thinking: *"Well, it's not working any longer, what more harm could be done anyway?!?"*
So I continued hoovering it with vacuum cleaner's narrowest part in order to suck up the tiniest piece of dust remained. 
While doing it I could feel laptop still warm due to previous overheating. 
When finished with vacuum cleaner waited until laptop cooled down completely, took a deep breath again and tried to plug it on and switched it on again. 
Well, it wasn't working yet but at least it switched on without switching off!!!! 
Yes! 
Then this image appeared:

This was a new thing for me but immediately understood it was going to be a long, long process... Decided to leave it alone and see what will happen. 
The most encouraging thing I've noticed was there was no more noise, the computer was breathing again and was not heating up any longer!!! WoW!! 
Long story short StartUp Repair was going on for over 2 hours and just when i gave up all hope it'll ever stop it was finally done and 
my computer was back to normal!!! 
All data saved, no more heating up, no more heavy noise!!! 

It's been 3 weeks since then and my laptop is working like a new!!! 

Maybe I am the only one person in the whole wide world who is still ignorant to the fact that even computers should be hoovered from time to time, and all this long and (worst of all) public confession of mine looks more than ridiculous,
I'm still so proud of myself finally listening to my intuition that saved me so much trouble by fixing my  laptop all by myself with a little (big) help of a simple vacuum cleaner.
