How to string and dry Jalapeno Chilies

<center>**I first fell in love with hanging peppers in Sante Fe, New Mexico.  They are delicious, beautiful and able to be stored indefinitely.**</center>  

<center>**Summer gardening is ending in our neighborhood and we share our produce. My neighbor stopped by yesterday with these beauties.  Immediately I thought how beautiful they’d be while drying in my home.**</center>

<center>**Put the threaded needle through the base (stem end) of the chilies.  Tie a knot onto the end of the first chili then string the rest on the needle .**</center>

<center>**It takes a night to dry and 2-3 weeks to be completely dry in a well-ventilated area.**</center>
<center>**Then the chilies are for use year round and they stay colorful and retain their heat.**</center>
