Low Esteem Bots!

<p><center><h1>The Bots Are As Thick As Flies Around A Pile Of Fresh Shit</h1></center></p>

<p>I think the best way to deal with this problem is mute the spammers and annoying bots. They will not be able to grow their reputation and eventually will leave from lack of growth.  It saves my peace of mind using this method, I am not angry or full of revenge, just resigned to the way the world works. Many people come on Steemit looking to make a little money but do not have any content or skills in this digital world that sells or interest people. That is something that should be stated when selling Steemit to the general public. You need to produce quality content that will interest other people.  Many people come from cultures that are not like ours and begging is part of how they function in their society. I don't get angry, I just get annoyed because this behavior along with spamming gets in my way of finding quality content I can promote and grow for the Steemit community.</p>
<p>I checked my wallet the other day and someone has sent me .0001 SBD telling me this is the last day to join their free Steem or SBD giveaway, contest or Birthday, what ever. I let this slide for a while but now, along with the resteem bots, upvote/down vote bots, buy vote bots, I am getting annoyed. So now when a bot post something on my comment section or sends me 0.0001 SBD I just mute them. </p> 

<p>In the beginning of my Steemit journey back in September of 2016 I followed everyone who followed me. However after Steem hit $2.00 and we had thousands of people join I deleted all the people I followed except for those I had interactions with, my stream was too overwhelming to curate. But my home stream became limited and stale, so I added a 1300 of my followers and my home stream turned into a resteem stream. I started muting anyone who has more resteems than articles, I felt as if I was being buzzed by a bunch of flies.</p>

<p> As I was muting a dozen resteem bots yesterday I had an idea for a painting. I painted my mental condition regarding the influx of bots here on steemit. I don't know how the bots will be integrated here on Steemit. I like some of them, like putting my favorites and promising up and coming Steemians on an upvote bot and Cheetah Bot catching plagiarizers.  However the upvote bots I use never filled up someone's comment section with automated, "I upvoted your $,"  by so and so bot before. That is also annoying. The resteem bots are making it difficult for me to curate my stream, not anymore! They are all muted now. </p>
<p> I feel a lot better after I finished this piece of art. It is true, art is good therapy! My husband suggested I fashion some of my bots after the Steven Spielberg movie, "<b>Batteries Not Included," which I did. I took the classic cartoon of a woman screaming as my mind screaming at overwhelming data from the resteem bots.  The resteem bots are my idea, those irritating flies that try and land on you all the time and won't leave you alone until you leave or squash them! </p>

I following only what i realy like to know about steemit, so i taking only wittnes news. That's a great painting.  Although the bots are actually really cute and I'd feel bad about not giving them a cuddle if they all looked like this.  I imagine that if you are a lonely person, having bots might be like having pets.  Who says flies can't be your friends?

Flies land on shit and then walk all over you...oh wait, dogs and cats lick their butts and try and lick their humans too...I dunno, I don't like flies. In Oregon we had biting deer flies, nasty things and bot flies, they lay eggs in the legs of livestock and the larva work their way up into the nose of the animals and eat their way to the back end of cattle, deer, or horses and nest just under the skin. I had to cut them out when I was a kid during roundup....groooooosssss.

Lol.  Also cat and dog food tastes like arse so it's hard to do your family budget sharing the same food as your pet.

We've got rabbits, lovely pets for kids and it's re-assuring to be able to eat the same food as your furry friends.  (Celery, Carrots)  

Flies are little twats.  I agree.  We're in Australia and you can't leave any food out ever.  I've been learning macro photography as a hobby and some flies are actually quite beautiful, especially the colours, until you take a shot around the front then their mouth gives the game away.  

Maybe one day a big wind is gonna come and blow them away.

And a picture with a great and accurate message being portrayed.

I have ideas about how to handle these things, make streams and lists and tags easier to get at.  But, I haven't even gotten the attention of any of the coders yet.

It is nice to be able to express your imagination in a precise drawing. That takes talent most people don't have. I like capturing things with my camera. It would be something if I could use a camera to capture  what's in my imagination , since I don't have the talent  to reproduce it in the form of art.

A very insightful perspective. I haven't been on stem for very long and thought bots were normally accepted do in part of the free money. I automate my voting for certain steemians I like since I joined and promising new steemians I am trying to encourage to continue and grow their skill sets. I leave some of my SP power for delegating to creativebot part of the PAL network, so I am not against bots. With my curating I try and comment of the blogs I autovoted and I look for minnows that are interesting or trying really hard to make a presence here on steemit. That's on top of the 4-8 hours a day I spend working on my art.

I really like my title, sometimes saying shit when you see shit feels so good! I know you're a hybrid and I don't flag or ignore upvoting bots just spammers and trolls. I ignore abusive resteemers that clog my home stream....I'm really not mean spirited, just a grumpy grandma!

Bots if used incorrectly can destroy a platform, an example Digg.com had bot wars and the site lost its members through poor management. I'm not anti-bot! I'm just looking to install some human awareness to my work and blog.

Muting is a good idea for the schemers, players, circle jerkers, and reward-pool rapists as well. Spam and silly little bots may be annoying, but perhaps we shouldn't let them divert all attention away from the worse things going on.

This was kinda of a silly post but also in a way serious regarding the automation of human interaction. There are serious issue like lack of nodes but I am not in that category of people. I will vote for witness that get more nodes up and running but that's all I can do....

About time someone came up with a post on this topic. The other day, someone said to me 'quality doesn't matter much here on Steemit' and that's mainly because of the bots and spammers here. Because they keep corrupting everything, it is hard for quality work to gain recognition. I have some trouble mingling with people. I love to socialize but I don't want people to think that I am socializing just to get their upvotes or favors from them because that is not my style so I take a lot of caution in interacting with people cos I don't want to perceive my gesture as something else. I am quite open when expressing my joy about something I like but I feel that when I praise someone too much, he/ she may think that I am doing it just to get their upvote. Anyhow, got a little side-tracked. Thank you for bringing up this topic and the idea for the poster is quite amusing! :D

I think the best way is mute the spammers and annoying bots. It saves my peace of mind. Many people come on here looking to make money but do not have any content or skills in this digital world that would sell. That is something that should be stated when selling Steemit to the general public. You need to produce quality content that will interest other people.  Many people come from cultures that are not like ours and begging is part of how they function in their society. I don't get angry, I just get annoyed because this behavior along with spamming gets in my way of finding quality content I can promote and grow for the steemit community.

Edit, this is the best distilling of how I feel about the bots and spammers, thank you @silviabeneforti for helping me...I'm going to include it in my paper.

I try and follow the tagging rules, if in doubt I don't use the tag and sometimes I just make one up for the hell of it!
