DEC aka Dark Energy Crystals is a token in the splinterlands game. I'm not sure what is going on with DEC and why the price continues to drop. It was almost 0.82 cents for 1k tokens a couple of days back but now it is 0.78 dollars for the same tokens. I believe that this token is valuable in the game and once we have land in the game going live then the use case of DEC going to increase a lot. Dark Energy Crystals is one of the tokens that is not listed on any CEX but it's listed on DEX. 


#### Lands will make DEC valuable

If you hold land then this time can be a good opportunity to buy because the price is low and you can get more at a low price. I am looking for some updates about the lands that how this token will be used later on as far as I understand it will be a key component in the game to start the farming but by that time I believe it will be slightly late as I expect the price will grow. Even there will be an increase in the card value as multiple components will be used with lands which are going to be great I believe. Somewhere I also believe that the team is not revealing much about it unless they bring lands for us but sometimes on the social media channel Twitter they give a hint that it is the time when we can grab a good bunch of tokens on discount.

#### DEC price


Below is the chart for the last 7 days and you can see as per this price we can get 1000 tokens just for $0.76 and even the current price is in the downtrend. While I have been accumulating SPS I believe it is a high-value token which is highly undervalued in the current market but I believe this one is equally important in the game so if you have enough funds and want to invest then this could be a great opportunity that can make the game much more fun and better rewarding. Technically we are at a discount of 24% approximately as per the current price so one can easily go for it because sooner or later the price will move back to its pegged range. It's a crypto market and we do not know how things will be working in the next day because nobody can predict it exactly however based on the use case and NEWS UPDATE we can expect to have an increase in demand.

It is understood that if something can push the dim and then that demand itself will push the price to the higher side and I think that I can anticipate the upcoming rise in the demand for the Dec token. This is just my thought and opinion and I can be wrong so if you believe in the project and expect the same then go further with investment just do not follow me blindly because profit and loss can be yours and I do not share any financial advice here. I had almost 100k DEC that I invested during the land deed registration.


### DEC earning through rental

I had good earnings with rental in the past and it started with over 5k tokens in a  day but later on, it kept on dropping and now it's not even 1k DEC in a day. I had stopped my rental a couple of months back because of this region and he started playing as I think this can be a good option to generate better rewards. Today I checked the estimated rental income for my account and I was surprised to see that it is very low that's not when 1000 tokens are on the higher side but if I compare it with the average then it is less than 500 tokens in a day. You can see the below snapshot where the average rental income and the maximum rental income are also mentioned This is why I stopped the rental service a few months back.

#### SPS & DEC

I know that DEC is important but at the same time, SPS is also important so I have to keep a balance and try to accumulate some BEC along with their SPS in the meantime. I have been accumulating SPS and currently, it is almost 32,000 in total but I am trying to make it as much as possible. Similarly, I am also planning to buy more Dec tokens so that when the lands are launched in the game then I can use my holding to make it a better use of tokens in the game. I also expect that in the coming months, we are going to have much more information about the lands, and that will decide the further use case of these tokens in the game part by that time maybe the price will start shooting up.
