Splinterlands is the only blockchain game that I play and have been playing it for more than 2 years. So far my experience has been great in terms of entertainment along with earning here. I have not withdrawn anything from the game because I believe that this game is in its early stage and the future is bright. I did not withdraw anything even when this game was at its peak after the launch of the SPS [token](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-token) because just for a little profit I do not want to distract myself rather it's better to stay focused than I had decided in the beginning.  Things have changed significantly in the splinterlands game after the launch of the [Splintershards (SPS)](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-splintershards-sps) token. This is a [governance](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-governance) token which means there will always be additional benefits to the holders and this is one of the reasons why I have been accumulating this token since the launch of spllintershards [airdrop](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-airdrop). I still invest in the game through various stuff that includes packs, cards, and even SPS and DEC tokens because I believe that the prices will grow in the next couple of years. When I was getting the [SPS airdrop](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-sps-airdrop) on daily basis, that time also I was investing in the token to increase my overall sps holding. Currently, I have more than 16000 in my wallet and I am very happy to own this balance but my goal is to have 20k SPS by end of this year. The reason why I believe in the token is that there are certain benefits with this token as compared to others and this is why I believe in this. #### Long term benefits The team has already announced that they will continue to provide some additional benefits to the holders of SPS tokens and being a long-term believer, I decided to increase my holding over the period of time so that I can be part of the ones who will be benefited. It is just the beginning I believe and there will be many more things coming along the way so we should wait and see how things will be unfolded in the next few years but I am sure that there will be many benefits provided by the project. #### Governance Since it is a governance token so holders will be part of the voting of any proposal by the team and this has even started recently. Governance is an important part of any project so whatever change they want to make in the project has to be approved by the token holders and that's why holding more SPS gives more power to the holders. If the change is good and beneficial for the community then it will be supported as even the project will not be able to do this as a community is not supporting it. So this way more power is given to the token holders and they are the ones who can decide the betterment of the community in the future. #### Future Growth Currently, the SPS token price is too low and it's around 5 cents but we have seen the price when it was almost $1 so I believe that sooner letter it will reach there. This is not financial advice anyways but I believe in the token economy and expected it will surely make it $1 and it is just a matter of time. #### Decent APR Earning Who does not like to earn a passive income on the investment this is why I believe SPS is definitely one of the coins which are offering a decent reward on the stake. Currently, the offered [Annual Percentage Rate (APR)](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-annual-percentage-return-apr) is more than 37% and I believe this is way higher as compared to the traditional investment options in the market this is the reason why I prefer to mistake all my tokens so that there is no liquid to come sitting idle. I am buying the token at a low price and with this option, I am able to increase my holding which will bring more benefits in the future to me when the price will appreciate which is highly expected to happen. ** ** ** ** *I have been investing in the game for quite some time and I know that this is the right time to invest because everything is available at a high discount and I am trying to grab this opportunity as much as possible.
