#28 - How Much SPT Can You Earn From Delegating to Monster-Curator? - Update #3

As you would know, I have an interest in analysing the curation rewards of different tokens (e.g. SPT, ONEUP). For SPT, I have been delegating 50% of my SPT to @monster-curator and have been recording the daily SPT received.

My [first update](https://peakd.com/hive-13323/@relf87/11-how-much-spt-can-you-earn-from-delegating-to-monster-curator) was at the 14th day mark after two weeks. **The average annualised yield after 14 days was 34%.**

My [second update](https://peakd.com/hive-13323/@relf87/18-how-much-spt-can-you-earn-from-delegating-to-monster-curator-update-2) was at the 30th day mark after 1 month. **The average annualised yield after 30 days was 29%.**

Now that it has been 50 days, I thought it is timely to do another update. **As you can see from the table below, the average annualised yield after 50 days is 30%.** Comparing it with the two earlier updates, one can deduce that the annualised yield is pretty stable around 30%, even though it can fluctuate from the day to day.

Newbe question, currently i only have powered hive that i can delegate, is this also possible or do I first need to buy SPT tokens?

Thanks for your question and will try my best to answer based on my limited knowledge as I have only been around for 2 months.

For powered Hive, I think you might want to do a bit of research on which are the more specialised curators for Hive because, if I am not wrong, I think @monster-curator mainly specialises for SPT curation. Alternatively, you could manually curate posts by reading and voting on those posts that are of your liking. I am currently doing that because I don't have a lot of Hive Power to delegate for now.

As for SPT, I think you can buy them but I have not gone through the buying process. I mainly get my SPT through writing posts on Splinterlands, i.e. you have to use appropriate tags like #splinterlands #splintertalk and #spt to be eligible to earn SPT. You can have a look at https://www.splintertalk.io where the rewards for each post is indicated in SPT.
