As the societies developed their connection with the outside world would expand as advancement of technology would increase like as transportation was limited and with time the world became bigger. Before, The lands were ruled by king's, priests, merchants or warriors with high profiles this form of government is called anarchy and before that their were tribe leaders, slowly anarchism was overruled by democracy. All tribes and early societies had different beliefs and their traditions and rituals were different from one another. 

The least comparisons were in people's relationship to each other (political and social organization).The differences can be similar or not but that depends on whether the object we were comparing existed in both of the times.
