Avalanche just isn't a great place to park yer stable coins!
It's been a couple of months now since I explored Avalanche for the first time, opting to stake some USDCe as a single asset on [Benqi](https://app.benqi.fi/overview), for around an 8% APR.

I was really only looking to stake a single stable coin asset, rather than in a share of a liquidity pool as I just wanted something REALLY simple!

However, at the time I had a bit of a dig around to see if there were any decent stable coin pools on offer as I would have considered a stable-pool share for a return of over 15%, around 20 would have made it more or less a certainty!

NB the reason I'm looking to pool my Stables on Avalanche is that I just want to spread my assets around to different chains - I've already got enough on Hive, BSC and Polygon, not much in stables, but I've got enough on those chains, and I like to be diversified.

I don't use ETH because the fees make it dysfunctional for me.

Given that I'm now looking to park a few more stables outside of Hive/ BSC/ Polygon, I thought it would be expedient to see if Avalanche can offer me anything better than 8%, and the answer is no.

I actually trawled through the T10 Avalanche dapps on [Defi Llama](https://defillama.com/chain/Avalanche), and a few more to boot, and I could only find one appealing option which might tempt me away from the 8% single USDCe asset staking rewards I'm still getting on Benqi.....

### 1. Pangolin DEX - 15% APR

The best I could find from one of the 'reputable' DEFI operators was this USDC.e-DAI.e pool on [Pangolin](https://app.pangolin.exchange/#/png/2), which is OK at 15%....

![Screenshot 20220106 at 19.47.49.png](https://images.hive.blog/DQmdSido1otejUXbkMe9NX1k4NrcuDdXaoHjEsdsm5jazih/Screenshot%202022-01-06%20at%2019.47.49.png)

I MIGHT switch my funds from Benqi at some point, I'll keep an eye on the returns here for a few weeks.

### 2 Synapse Protocol - 4 way stable pool for 15% APR

The second best option I found was this, on [Synapse](https://synapseprotocol.com/pools)

![Screenshot 20220106 at 19.45.25.png](https://images.hive.blog/DQmQgTED2h3ZGiENv9fKKo5qBBNqua69We88ST2fHJyc73U/Screenshot%202022-01-06%20at%2019.45.25.png)

BUT, a 4 way pool probably means heavier fees when withdrawing and I don't like USDT which is in this option, so this is a NO.

### 3. Trader Joe Returns are Naff...

A third well established project on Avalanche now seems to be offering really bad returns, I guess it's downhill now for Trader Joe?!?

![Screenshot 20220106 at 19.39.47.png](https://images.hive.blog/DQmQYihm2m8ZwrYreARrCtP9NsS7PdQwAduZH8dVzmkBGCc/Screenshot%202022-01-06%20at%2019.39.47.png)

And I couldn't find anything else that I trust with a decent return on stables!

### Final Thoughts....

I'll keep the small amount of stables I've already got in AVAX, and in addition I will probably pool some additional stables to match the idle AVAX I've got, but I won't be adding more, not ATM, I think I'm going to add more into Anchor, in the form of UST.

Best way to keep stable coin probably last year was in anchor but I don’t have anything there still prefer hbd because of my love for this community

Oh I quite like HBD, but I've got a lot of Hive, so I just like to be more diversified!

I do actually intend to stack a bit more HBD though.

The 12% interest on HBD in savings is straightforward, but if you're looking for more, remember we still have [stabelcoin farming on Hive DeFi](https://leofinance.io/@forexbrokr/stablecoin-farming-on-hive-defi-the-swap-hbd-swap-busd-lp), BeeSwap.

The SWAP.HBD:SWAP.BUSD LP is now down to 16.596% APR, but that still beats the returns on both Avalanche options.

Are you in this one?

I've got a few $!000 in there! It's still nice, it was MUCH nicer in week 1 of the BXT drop!

I did freak out about slippage on chashing out the other day, so took out 10% and it was all fine, in fact I think I got slightly more back in regular HBD - it's quite nice having thousands of liquid Hive and Swap Hive/ HBD to play with, makes managing all of this a lot easier.

Hey!
I think Anchor is the best at the moment. I don't know if there are some interesting MIM/(stable) pools, no idea.
Usdc in TJ was at 27%... now useless.

In the last months I'm less in stable pools. Trying some other stuff, like *Wonderland* and *Tomb Finance* ;-)

Is a nice idea to diversify during investment not like putting all your eggs in one basket. But before that we also need to make a good research about any projects just like how you give us the breakdown of Avalanche. Thank you for sharing your ideas.
