Do You Only Focus On Building Online Assets?

We are living in a great era. What we can do, maybe that was just an imagination in the past. You get information online, send an email, receive email or read something. When you think of interest, is that all that comes to your mind?

Of course, not. When your grandparents thought about the internet in the past, probably they would think like that. And you would do the same at that time, I guess.

The way the internet changes everything, it seems like magic. But it is not magic, it's reality. You can build online assets. It is as valuable as an offline asset.

You see people buy lands, that's valuable assets. They can cultivate the lands and grow crops. They can sell the crops. Or, they can build buildings and do a lot of things. When you are online, the possibility is endless.

You have a website or blog. You create content and publish that on your blog. Then you monetize your blog. Your blog is an online asset. You can sell your blog/website. You have an online store where you sell your products and make money. That is your asset.

If you look at the blockchain and what the technology enables you to do, that's incredible. Yes, cryptocurrency can be an asset. Even though there is high volatility in the crypto market, the price can move in any direction, you see the BTC price goes up over a period of time. You may get lost seeing it in a short term, but when you see it in a long term, it makes the perfect sense.

Bitcoin is considered a safe asset seeing its history and what it has already done. Big institutions see this and use BTC as an inflation hedge. Inflation is destroying your wealth slowly and if you do not do anything to hedge against it, you will only lose your wealth over time.

So does it mean you will only focus on building online assets? I think diversification is very important. Even though you are confident about something that will succeed, there is a risk. If you only focus on digital assets, you should also focus on building offline assets sooner or later.

It will reduce the risk and in case something happens, you will not lose everything completely. You can think of investing in real estate, gold, and silver. You can buy lands and generate income from there as well. It will act as a hedge against your online assets.

I think diversifying is fine and building assets online is similar to building physical assets. Just treat it either as a business or a stock and I see no reason to look at it differently.

When you think of it as a business, your mindset and the way you make decisions change. I do think building assets online as well as office is important.

Its beneficial to have offline assets that you can always go to when online assets is not doing well.  

Real estate is one of the best options out there, gold and silver are nice assets too, the inflation is just what got me thinking, which is why I'll chose Land before them(gold & silver). 

There has never been a case where diversifying our portfolio hurts as bad as putting all your eggs in one basket, that's not the best way to go.

Diversification can save you, but over-diversification is not good. I also like lands. You can cultivate lands, grow crops and sell them. You can think of this as a business.
