**Although I used to play the PC version of Plants VS Zombies (a good couple of years ago, back in the days of Windows Vista), I had never felt any interest in its relatively recent Smartphone counterpart.**

It was quite ironic, of all those games that have been adapted and brought to the mobile market, few can say with as much confidence that their formulas would work as well in the format as it is in the case of Plants VS Zombies.

And it is that in the midst of boredom, it took only a couple of levels to recognize that we where facing a Port quite worthy of a franchise that seems to have been born with a touch screen gameplay in mind.

For those who don't know, Plants VS Zombies is a fairly simple strategy game, in which we take on an almost omnipotent role and must protect our own garden from a very particular threat: zombies.

You can already imagine what our protection mechanism against them will be: Plants.

As we progress through each of its many levels, we will unlock different types of plants, from which we can choose 6 to carry out the best possible strategy. There are sunflowers that provide us with more "energy" (literally, being the resource we use to create new plants in our garden), plants that can shoot, explode, eat zombies, or simply distract them while others take care of finishing them.

The garden is divided into several boxes, creating a kind of real-time chess where we progressively take control of the terrain in various situations that can turn things in our favor or not, for example, at night we will not get a regular supply of energy, and we must create sunflowers to obtain it, if we play on the roof we will be limited to using seven plants, and so on.

The key to Plants VS Zombies is taking advantage of its simple mechanics to build a video game that has much more depth than it appears, characterized by a cartoonish visual style full of charisma and a very pleasant musical atmosphere, it is a very neat experience with which it is always easy to get hooked.

**Although a large part of its elements are an exact translation to the PC version, it must be taken into account that it has certain "special characteristics", to begin with, it is a free-to-play video game, which not only includes micro -predictable transactions, but a couple of video games that make our task of getting hold of all the objects in the store a bit easier.**

**A pesar de que solía jugar la versión de PC de Plantas VS Zombies (Hace un buen par de años ya, en los tiempos de Windows Vista), nunca había sentido ningún tipo de interés por su relativamente reciente contraparte para Smartphones.**

Era bastante irónico, de todos aquellos juegos que han sido adaptados y traídos al mercado mobile, pocos pueden decir con tanta confianza que sus fórmulas funcionarían tan bien en el formato como es en el caso de Plantas VS Zombies.

Y es que en medio del aburrimiento no faltaron más que un par de partidas para reconocer que estaba frente a un Port bastante digno de una franquicia que parece haber nacido con una pantalla táctil en mente. 

Para aquellos que lo desconozcan Plantas VS Zombies es un juego de estrategia bastante simple, en dónde adquirimos un rol casi omnipotente y debemos proteger nuestro propio jardín de una amenaza muy particular: Los zombies. 

Ya se imaginarán cuál será Nuestro mecanismo de protección contra ellos: Las plantas.

A medida que avanzamos por cada uno de sus abundantes niveles iremos desbloqueando diversos tipos de plantas, de la cuales podremos escoger 6 para llevar a cabo la mejor estratégia posible. Existen girasoles que nos proporcionan más "energía" (Literalmente, siendo el recurso que usamos para crear nuevas plantas en nuestro jardín), plantas que pueden disparar, explotar, comerse a los zombies, o simplemente distraerlos mientras otras se encargan de acabarlos. 

El jardín se divide en varios recuadros, creando una especie de ajedrez en tiempo real en dónde progresivamente vamos tomando el control del terreno en diversas situaciones que pueden poner las cosas a nuestro favor o no, por ejemplo, en las noches no obtendremos un suministro regular de energía, y debemos crear girasoles para obtenerla, si jugamos en el techo nos veremos limitados de usar sientas plantas, y así sucesivamente. 

La clave de Plantas VS Zombies está en aprovechar sus mecánicas tan sencillas para construir un videojuego que cuenta con muchísima más profundidad de la que se aparenta, caracterizado por un estilo visual caricaturesco lleno de carisma y un ambiente musical muy agradable, es una experiencia muy prolija con la que siempre es fácil engancharse.

**Aunque gran parte de sus elementos son una traslación exacta a la versión de PC, hay que tomar en cuenta que está cuenta con ciertas "particularidades especiales", para empezar, se trata de un videojuego free-to-play, que no solo incluye  micro-transacciones predecibles, sino un par de videojuegos que facilitan un poco nuestra tarea de hacernos con todos los objetos que se encuentran en la tienda.**
