Bringing together three of the greatest actors that have ever existed in contemporary cinema (Robert DeNiro, Alpacino and Joe Pesci) The Irishman serves as a love letter to all lovers of gangster cinema and a meta-commentary on the consequences of a life full of crimes and excesses such as those that were portrayed so attractively in the previous works of this filmmaker. Desde su hermosa y deprimente apertura mimicando los planos sostenidos de Goodfellas (Solo que en un contexto infinitamente más turbio) hasta el acceso intimo a la vida de sus personajes, la historia real de Frank Sheeran y Jimmy Hoffa sirve como un recipiente para lo que probablemente sea una de las películas más densas temáticamente que Scorsese ha hecho en toda su vida: evaluando el valor de la familia, la lealtad y la idea terrorífica de envejecer sin nadie a nuestro lado. Excelente recomendación, y sobretodo por estos extraordinarios actores, que ya no hay tantos como ellos hoy en día. Nunca había escuchado sobre esta película, pero se ve que es realmente buena, sobretodo ese aspecto de los gansters en su vejez, porque a veces uno quisiera imaginar como seria su vida sin tener esa juventud vigorizante que los hacia malos y poderosos.

Es una película bastante buena y me encanta su mensaje final, es un poco larga y eso puede echar para atrás a mucha gente, no obstante, yo siento que es genial 😁

Muy buena reseña! Incluso me haces considerar echarle un segundo vistazo, porque debo admitir que la primera vez que la ví, quedé entre los que mencionas que critican su duración y sus efectos jajaja El digitalmente rejuvenecido De Niro nunca me terminó de gustar, sentí que hubiera sido mucho mejor elegir a un actor joven pues los movimientos de Robert delataban su avanzada edad casi siempre, sin mencionar que se me acababa viendo muy irreal en muchas ocasiones. Igualmente valoré cualidades como la fotografía y su mensaje, aunque reconozco que quizás no al mismo detalle que tú en este artículo. Quizás eventualmente le de una segunda oportunidad a este filme que prometía tanto para mí. Muy buen trabajo!
