[This should probably have been the first of the series except for two factors- when I began I had no idea where this was going to lead and second, I didn't have Patrick Wood's book- the seminal writing on Technocracy- Technocracy Rising: The Trojan Horse of Global Transformation, where he lays out Technocracy in its entirety from its philosophical beginnings through Agenda 21 and Transhumanism.]

The Technocratic movement was birthed in the philosophical writings of Henri Saint-Simon who viewed science as a religion that he referred to as New Christianity- Christian Scientific Socialism. He foresaw a peaceful world run by philosophers, scientists and engineers, functioning as the new priesthood. This is a secular humanist religion- Christianity without Christ if you will. What Saint-Simon began in the late 18th Century was picked up by Auguste Compte in the 19th.

Compte was the "father" of Positivism- the belief that the only authentic knowledge is scientific knowledge that can only reached via the scientific method (as we will soon see, Compte seems to have taken liberties with both "scientific" and "method"). Compte, I believe is the key to understanding the progress of Technocracy. He envisioned a day when the social sciences would equal and then eclipse the hard sciences by emulating the method. It looks like that day may have arrived- the result being the watering down of the scientific method turning it on its head. The social sciences have, for the most part, been integrated into the scientific community in the same way that psychology and psychiatry have been integrated into medicine. The ultimate result being "political science"... not the discipline, but politically driven science such as the global warming hoax.

It was this form of scientific elitism that drove the establishment of Technocracy in the early 20th Century. In order for the Technocrats to succeed there must be an overall system- a management structure that encompasses and orders every facet of society... a holistic approach to global government. Although the philosophies of Saint-Simon and Compte didn't explicitly incluse a global system, it would seem the likely outcome- beginning at the national level radiating outward from there... A world government of regulators- unelected "experts" much like the government of FDR, or currently the SES, only at the global level.

According to Wood's book: "The Greek word for whole is holos from which we get other words such as holistic, holism, holon, holarchy, etc.." These concepts are now applied to disciplines such as metaphysics, religion, politics and economics. In his book Holism and Evolution, Jan Christian Smuts, one of the founders of the League of Nations and UN, wrote: "what a thing is in its sum is of greater importance than its component parts." This is one of the underlying precepts of Fascism... in Fascism the state is the equivalent of an organism (the sum of all parts) and each individual is merely a cell (a component or holos). This is the same philosophy set forth by Arthur Koestler in his book The Ghost in the Machine- where he views people as holos... cells in the larger overall organism, there to be "improved" by the regulations of the "experts," be they scientists, social engineers or what have you.

That pretty much covers the philosophical underpinnings... Now we can branch out and look at how the Technocrats became a prevailing force in 20th Century America and from there throughout the world. In 1968 Zbigniew Brzezinski wrote Between Two Ages: America's Role in the Technotronic Era. This book brought him to the attention of David Rockefeller and not long afterward they founded the Trilateral Commission, a group of technocrats whose goal it was (is) to form a new world economic order. With the complicity of the UN, the American government, NGO's, Foundations, etc., here are some of their programs to accomplish their end...

~Agenda 21 and Sustainable Development

~Federal government grabbing up land and water rights (the end of private property)

~ICLEI (International Council for Local Environmental Initiatives), Smart Growth & Public Private  partnerships

~Communitarianism and the "Third Way"

~Smart Grids, Carbon Credits, Cap & Trade

~Global Warming, Climate Change, Radical Environmentalism

Now that Trilateral members are interspersed in governments and organizations throughout the world, any pretense of a Utopian world where science and technology benefits mankind as a whole have been dropped... The paradigm has been inverted and it is mankind who are to serve science and technology, and naturally the elites behind the scenes. Only the unwitting dupes, the footsoldiers of the environmental movements, that push the elitist agenda believe the false narrative and are too blind to sense the tiger hidden behind the door waiting to devour them.
