<html> <p><img src="http://i1361.photobucket.com/albums/r664/richristow/IMG_20170922_203144_zps9nsywvbw.jpg~original" width="938" height="960"/></p> <p> </p> <p>I went to Yixing because I wanted to write a travel article about a cave. Only, there is the language barrier of me not knowing Chinese. So, I thought I would split this into a two day exploration. The first day there, I thought I would wander around and try and find the relevant bus stops. So, the first stop in the "how to get to that cave" involved a digression across the street. Once you walk out of Yixing's bus station, you confronted by the above statue. It's of a famous painter that was born in this city. </p> <p><img src="http://i1361.photobucket.com/albums/r664/richristow/IMG_20170922_203949_zpstr3kc3j8.jpg~original" width="917" height="1024"/></p> <p><br></p> <p>It was raining, and half my time, I was actually searching for a place to buy umbrella. Those places were not forthcoming. Several English language sources on the internet stated the No. 2 bus goes to one of the caves. I knew it wasn't true, as I was able to read the route info on the bus stop sign. I still took it anyway, hoping it would take me to another part of the city </p> <p><br></p> <p><img src="http://i1361.photobucket.com/albums/r664/richristow/IMG_20170922_204040_zpsth3shmtu.jpg~original" width="933" height="1024"/></p> <p><br></p> <p>However, it was in the middle of rush hour and the streets were clogged. The bus was clogged, especially once all the school kids got on and seemed to be very excited to see a foriegner. So, I got off. Can be quite frustrating when you are in a foreign country and you do not understand their language. However, it is fun to experience the "strange land" and make your own discoveries; it can turn out to be fun especially if the locals are friendly. Thanks for sharing your adventure.
