We live in a post truth society. The truth is what the herd leader says, not the real fact. A renown founder (of everpedia) thinks that since @dan left Steem, it will not scale up and it does not run a platform. What he meant by Steem does not run a platform, only he knows or may be a gibberish. His followers will believe that Steem is a thrash since @dan has left. Insterestly, steem is more scalable than EOS and with MIRA updates upcoming, it will be one of the most scalable and decentralized blockchain in the planet.

Now, that there are many pseudo analysts such as Tone Vays who has little technical knowledge but charismatic presentation, his herds listen to him. As cryptocurrency is still a play for speculators, most are misinformed about Steem through their so called @twitter or @youtube gurus who themselves do less research speak more.

Steem's price is low since mistruths are more spreaded out that the truth. Truth is relative. Once mistruths are spread out like virus, they become truth to their gullible believers. After all, we are living in the post-truth society.

Now question is who is buying up ABBC coin whose name, Alibaba (i.e. no link to Jack Ma's Alibaba) is looks like outright spam. Now, the hyped feature, face recognition payment is another scam. It is not a big tech at all. A single DApp on Steem can add face recognition feature for Steem payment.

Another hyped coin is @enjin, pumped to 500% on its rumor to roll out by @samsung. In fact @samsung will add most top crypto to their smartphone today or tomorrow. @enjin is no special coin in that sense. It is similar @coinbase effect: XRP recently added to coinbase, no pump ensued. Coinbase addition of a coin does not add up these days. For example, coinbase added an ERC20 0x ICO due to its internal link. 0x has hardly any mass scale users compared to steem. While in DApp ranking website @stateofthedapps, six out of top 10 DApps is from Steem, 0x DApp on ETH ranks 11th. It is outright irony!

The good thing is that after all these bashing and mistruths, @steem is priced at more than 50 cents. It means lots of people, in fact larger than any crypto community, trust it. Moreover, it is undervalued and has huge potential. Truths win in the long run. Herd of sheep's belief system is very volatile and in can change like wind. People used to believe Sun circles around earth and earth is flat, now very few people believe. Truths comes out winner in the long run with its built-in prowess. 

Therefore, when Steem's goodness will spread, its price will follow. This bear market will kill more speculators through trash like ABBC coin or next junk/PnD coin. Markets are utterly irrational and people are mostly short-sighted and moved by the herd leader. But time and tide changes everything, hypes will wipe out like the past tulip mania. Congratulations to those who have bought cheap Steem and who will buy Steem in near future.
