In the Weimar Republic many men were unable to get jobs, or make anything of themselves. They had no respect, no purpose, and no meaning. They were forced to operate in a society which degraded their cultural and societal values. Crusty commies would run rampant doing whatever they pleased ripping up the social contract of society and the law.

Hope arrived in the form of the Nazi party. Adolf Hitler raised the spirits of the people and gave them hope for a better future.
Within no time the economy was booming again. Men who were once overlooked and looked down upon, were now officers and soldiers, working for the betterment of their country.
People who previously had no jobs were given great opportunities to work at internment camps where "work would set you free". Their parents and grandparents were happy and proud of their sons and daughters working these jobs.

Whenever there is moral and cultural degradation of a society, whenever there is crusty communists acting above the law with looney ideologies, whenever there is men in great numbers with no respect and no meaning, Hitler will be there to catch us as we fall.

**What do you think?  Are we repeating the 1930s like it is so often claimed?**
**I personally don't see it, but can see the twisted version of Gnosticism lingering.  The Matrix film is essentially Gnosticism.  It is a good example of it, with humans being trapped in a fake world from reaching their full potential, due to some unseen evil forces, and it's up to Neo(Platonism) to set us free.  The Jews are the evil force in twisted Gnosticism (due to their God being the old angry vengeful wrathful God) which goes back thousands of years, and is where Hitler developed his twisted nightmare version of Gnosticism from.  I'll eventually start writing up bigger articles on Gnosticism and the meaning crisis which is at the heart of all our troubles.**
