Today I got a message from a guy in one of the WhatsApp group where I am a member. We generally discuss different topics on Crypto there. The message reads –
“Hi Guys,
I have been reading about a new platform 'Zilliqa' which is currently conducting community contribution. Zilliqa is solving few problems with BTC and Ethereum. Out of which, main one is rate of transaction per second
After reading a lot about it, I feel this could be the new Ethereum. It will hit exchanges late January. I am thinking to go big on this. Though the most probable chances are it will list 5-7x on exchanges. But I see this coin in Top 10 in very near future.”
So I started to do some research about Zilliqa.  So I will try to put my research below

Idea of Zilliqa – 
It is blockchain platform that is designed to scale in an open, permission-less distributed network securely. The core feature that makes Zilliqa scalable is the idea of sharding. Sharding is dividing the network into several smaller component networks (each one is called shard) capable of processing transactions in parallel. This empowers the network to handle more number of transactions collectively.
The whole idea started from overcoming the limitations in scaling up existing protocols of extensively used Blockchain platform like Bitcoin or Ethereum network. The developers behind Zilliqa believe that the problems lie in the design of the consensus and network protocols of those. That is why merely re-engineering may scale up to some extent but not drastically as required to support thousands of transactions / sec and reach its full potential.

The whitepaper of Zilliqa says – 
Zilliqa is “a new blockchain platform that is designed to scale in transaction rates.” As the number of miners in ZILLIQA increases, its transaction rates are expected to increase as well. Specifically, ZILLIQA’s design allows its transaction rates to roughly double with every few hundred nodes added to its network. As of this writing, the Ethereum mining network is over 30,000 nodes. At Ethereum's present capacity, ZILLIQA would expect to process about a thousand times the transaction rates of Ethereum

My thought: 
ICO of Zilliqa is over and unfortunately I was not able to participate in that. It will surely hit the exchange minimum 8-10 times higher than the ICO price. In spite of that fact, I will make my move and buy it as idea and team behind it is much better than lots of other coins existing today.
