Not the five day wave you were hoping for. .  .  Might be time to convert a bus or car or trailer and live in that at the beach. Not sure what the specific laws over yonder their are but here in Canada, if the bus rv trailer is parked it is a home no matter where it is.

It's crazy all of the things that are going on with lock downs and the like. I was recently watching something that was talking about how since we've had relatively mild winters in many parts of the world lately, that leads to a big boom in the elderly population since there is typically less pneumonia and other winter sicknesses. There is scientific literature surrounding it, it's been a thing for a long time but what they were talking about is that the time when that balance returns back to a normalized state of death sees what looks like a big rise in deaths among people who are older and have bad chronic conditions that would have otherwise taken their toll in difficult weather years. Last year was the time where that could have happened and it was blamed on the current situation. It was a perspective that I found intriguing and I can't say how much it was a factor but it seems logical! 

The worst part is they won't let you go out to the beach and do some surfing, that's a load of horse shit if you ask me. You don't have a soul around you when you're out there but you're a danger! Return at once peasant! Some crazy shit.

Sometimes I feel that everything will repeat itself as it did last year, but I try to dispel those thoughts, governments are playing with people's patience (or who knows what they are really playing at) here in Lima they announced 15 more days of quarantine, so we share the same feeling of anger 😷😤 a lot of patience, I hope they settle down and extend the range so that you can go to the ocean again.

The beach...So close and yet so far. Looks like near Anglesea. 

Keep your chin up River, it'll lift and you can surf. It has to keep happening until the people are all completely trained to accept the new normal without question. Then...Well, it's the new normal so forget freedom I guess.

I really hope this is just a passing thing. But even if it takes a while until everything gets better, we will have to cultivate acceptance and contentment (*Santosha* in Sanskrit), until a different situation manifests itself.

We need this pandemic to end.... This is coming for someone who enjoys living in solitary and avoid going outside unless necessary 🤣 but yes, this time of the year is when I feel like I need to see human and socialize but rona, oh well it's still there. Last year I still got the chance to travel around until March. But this year, I don't know. Seems a bit hopeless in that front. 

I am just as pissed as you are. It's ridiculous. I heard Dr. Zach Bush say that there have been 12,800 worldwide pandemics in the past 40 years. This one is no different. The only thing that has changed is the mass zombification of mankind, most of us. "Snap out of it!" I implore them. They get mad at me. I don't surf, but I want to LIVE. Seems to me to stop living is no way to cheat death.

And yet, what does our government do?  It sweeps homeless people's tents and throws all their gear in the trash while it's below freezing outside, made a curfew-that-they-won't-call-a-curfew as if you can only catch covid at night??, and made some nonsense color-coded system that I don't know what it means any more than I know what the stupid color-coded terrorism thing that George W made meant.  Instead of, like, helping anyone do anything.

Months ago when several homeless shelters were closing due to lack of staff, they made two mega-shelters that are, you know, a way easier way to spread covid between homeless people than leaving them in their tents or in smaller shelters.

And then of course we just had the superbowl with a huge crowd that "honored" the dead and the healthcare workers while they crammed a bunch of people into a stadium?

It's just SO hypocritical here I'm furious.  Biden said something about "trusting the science" but won't do any of the things that might actually help in a pandemic, like paying people to stay home for a while, universal healthcare, forbidding the stupid superbowl ...like either you "believe the science" and you work to stop this or you don't believe the science or you believe the science but you absolutely don't care if people die as long as your rich buddies are making profits.  It's *clearly* the third option here in the US of A.

And disability Twitter is going OFF because some of the most vulnerable people due to whatever chronic illness or disability they have, are not being prioritized in the vaccine distribution, it's just going solely by age, so all the young disabled people are like "well fuck us, then?"  Again, either you believe the science and want to vaccinate the most vulnerable people first, or you absolutely don't care if they die when disabled people already have a higher mortality rate from covid.

Just ...the whole handling of this thing in this country is so heartless.  It's not even a matter of people who doubt vs. people who believe very much, random stories of someone slapping a store clerk for asking them to wear a mask aside (yeah, that really happened here. Like she can not like the mask thing but it ain't the poor schlub who's making $10/hr's fault).  It's just that the govt is all "this is real, be safe, but you're on your own, thoughts and prayers, it's your fault if you die, just like we tell you for every other thing in this country."

Sorry, didn't mean to take over your rant with a rant of my own.  Didn't realize I needed to do that.  X3  Maybe your comments section will become everyone going, "OMG ME TOO SO DONE."
