Good point! Your post made me rethink the word fun. Still struggling with it lol. At least I am having fun while contemplating about what it means to have fun! I guess I have a lot of fun in my life too! I do smile a lot, enjoy most of my days, live an interesting life (or so I believe), and always seem to be quite content. Learning about things, like mushrooms and whatnot, is fun!  We should never stop learning!  It sounds like surfing is definitely your thing.  I read one of your surfing posts not too long ago and could tell how much you like to do it.  Thanks for sharing and have a lovely day!

Surfing and horseback-riding must be thrilling and yes, fun :) Life seems to have its way of making us set aside ~~some~~ most of the things we used to enjoy, but replaces them with something more meaningful💗

I would have the same struggle with the word ‘fun’. 

Surfing sure seems like an activity that gives you a lot, otherwise you wouldn’t do it so much I guess 🙂

Is it true that we enjoy the same things now as we did growing up? I haven’t really thought about that much. For sure, it was easier to have fun as a child. At least that’s how I feel.

Catching the waves certainly sounds fun! Exhilarating fun and it's not often I try to type exhilarating three times before getting the spelling right!

I agree... Fun is relative... Your son loves community football and I do too. It's been a while I played but I would jump at the next opportunity to join. I have only ever been on a horse once...at the beach but I still want to ride while feeling the joy and fun in the race rather than the walk with I had at the beach when I was still small.
I guess I would take some lessons from you on surfing 🙈
