Still pretty new to the platform I am glad that there is someone to take it over.  While it did take me by surprise, I am starting to see a little more how things are run around here.  For what it's worth, thank you for the service you provided to the community and I hope the transition goes smoothly.  May your future endeavors and contributions be rewarded with success!

I'll admit, sadly, that I had not voted for your witness.  That's all on me.  I should have done better research on who was behind steemit.chat.  As many people know, I loved the service and admin'd a few channels even.  It is a very valuable tool and I cannot thank you enough for all the time and money you put into it.

I saw the sacking and obviously I feel steemitchat had come a long way, though I don't really know why you're leaving  but well I feel there's been a lack of acrimony and a lot of strife, however it would be best to make a post explaining all that went down in my opinion

The steemit.chat helped me grow my account and build lasting relationships here. 

Even though I was frustrated at times being a mod in #general, I happily did it for free because I felt like I owed a lot to the chat. 

Maybe I’ll spend some time actually posting now.
