A much needed break
Met with a childhood friend today and went on a motorbike ride. 
I'm going to share with you some pictures of the beautiful Dal Lake.

The boat on the bottom right is called a 'shikara' and is an important part of Kashmiri culture.

Dal lake is located within the city of Srinagar and is regarded as being the 'crown in the jewel of Kashmir'.

Dal lake is considered one of the most attractive tourist destinations of Kashmir.
Forgot to turn off the watermark in my camera for the first couple of pics.

It was a cloudy day mostly but the Sun tried its best to shine through the clouds and succeeded for a while.

However the cloud cover increased by the end of the day and it poured heavily and we had to rush home.
