One of the vacations we enjoy the most at home are the Christmas vacations because we are free from all activities including work, so even though they are relatively short, they are the ones we take advantage of the most to spend time with our family and get out of the house. 

In fact I have a lot of photos accumulated from these weeks that even though Christmas is over I can't stop sharing with you, because they have been beautiful moments with the most important people in my life. My family! 

And one of those moments was at the beginning of December, specifically on the 9th, when we were supposed to go to one of the shopping centers of the Island to enjoy the Choral Encounter of the private schools of the State, and I say supposed because when we arrived to the area where the activity should be held two giant screens gathered an impressive amount of people who were ready to watch one of the most exciting matches of the World Cup. Argentina vs Holland. 

The truth is that we were impressed by the amount of people that were in the place, because I think I had never seen it like that and taking into account that we went through two years of a pandemic that kept us at home, it was quite a spectacle to see that amount of people in the mall. 

>Una de las vacaciones que más disfrutamos en casa son las vacaciones Navideñas porque estamos desocupados de todas las actividades incluido el trabajo, así que a pesar de ser relativamente cortas son las que más aprovechamos para compartir tiempo con nuestra familia y salir de casa. 

>De hecho tengo una cantidad de fotos acumuladas  de estas semanas que aunque ya pasó la Navidad no puedo dejar de compartir con ustedes, porque han sido lindos momentos al lado de las personas más importantes en mi vida. Mi familia! 

>Y uno de esos momentos fue a principios del mes de Diciembre, específicamente el día 9, cuando se suponía iríamos a uno de los Centros Comerciales de la Isla a disfrutar del Encuentro de Corales de los Colegios Privados del Estado, y digo se supone porque al llegar a la zona donde debería realizarse la actividad dos pantallas gigantes reunían a una cantidad increible de personas que se disponían a ver uno de los partidos más emocionantes del Mundial de Fútbol... Argentina vs Holanda. 

>La verdad nos quedamos impresionados por la cantidad de personas que se encontraban en el lugar, porque creo que jamás lo había visto así y tomando en cuenta que atravesamos dos años por un pandemia que nos mantuvo en casa, fue todo un espectáculo ver esa cantidad de gente en el centro comercial.

Of course we already knew that the event would not take place, since the game would take at least two hours and despite seeing some kids from the different private schools on the island, there was no way those screens would be turned off before the game was over, so we decided to enjoy the change of plans! 

It was the first time we would see a game on a giant screen and surrounded by so many people because to be honest we are not crowd lovers, but one thing 2022 taught me was to enjoy the moment, so to have a better view of both the screens and the general panorama we decided to go up to the second level of the mall. 

I must say at this point that we don't support the Argentina team (I know, we are aliens!!) My husband and I have always liked European teams and Holland is one of them, so it was kind of uncomfortable and at the same time fun to be surrounded by a crowd that was all for Argentina! 

It got to a point where we were giving it all up for lost and decided to go downstairs to look at stores, but in one of them we could hear that Holland had tied and that they would go to extra time, so we literally ran back to take our seats. 

>Por supuesto ya sabíamos que el evento no se realizaría, ya que el partido como mínimo tomaría dos horas y a pesar de ver a algunos niños de los  diferentes colegios privados de la isla, de ninguna manera esas pantallas se apagarian sin que terminara el partido, por lo que decidimos disfrutar el cambio de planes! 

>Era la primera vez que veríamos un partido en pantalla gigante y rodeados de tantas personas porque para ser sinceros no somos amantes de las multitudes, pero algo que me enseñó el 2022 fue a disfrutar el momento, así que para tener una mejor vista tanto de las pantallas como del panorama general decidimos subir al segundo nivel del centro comercial. 

>Debo decir en éste punto que nosotros no apoyamos a la selección Argentina (lo sé,  somos unos aliens!!) Siempre nos han gustado a mi esposo y a mi los equipos europeos y Holanda es uno de ellos, por lo que era medio incómodo y a la vez divertido estar rodeados de una multitud que en su totalidad le iba a la Argentina! 

>Llegó un punto en el que lo dábamos todo por perdido y decidimos bajar a ver tiendas, pero en una de ellas pudimos escuchar que Holanda había empatado y que irían a tiempo extra, así que literalmente nos fuimos corriendo nuevamente a ocupar nuestros lugares.

Very close to us we lived a scene that despite having lost our team in the penalty phase made our afternoon and ended up being worth it to have stayed and it was a group of guys (three friends), who literally trembled terrified that Argentina would have to go to penalties, it was too funny to see them walking from side to side while choosing who would be in charge of taking the penalties. 

In general the atmosphere was tense because they did not expect to get to that point because the match was practically won and Holland not only tied but made them go to penalties and that for the fans was a total suffering and you could see it on their faces. 

When the round of penalties started, I can tell you that in my life I had never had so much joy and at the same time so much anguish. Matias and Miranda were dying of laughter with their expressions and reactions every time Argentina scored a goal or when Holland scored. There were screams and even desperate looks, it was definitely worth it to stay. 

Finally the place exploded when Argentina won the game, the three friends hugged and toasted together while we could not contain our laughter, because it definitely seemed a little crazy all that, but that's part of the magic of soccer and surely if I went to Argentina I would surely be infected with all that energy and although our team did not win, we did not give it more importance. We lived a unique moment! 

>Un poco más tarde y muy cerca nuestro vivimos un panorama que a pesar de haber perdido nuestro equipo en la fase de penales nos hizo la tarde y terminó valiendo la pena el habernos quedado y fueron un grupo de chicos (tres amigos), que literalmente temblaban aterrados de que Argentina tuviese que ir a penales, era demasiado gracioso verlos caminar de lado a lado mientras escogían quienes serían los encargados de cobrar los penales. 

>En general el ambiente era tenso pues no se esperaba llegar hasta ése punto porque el partido estaba prácticamente ganado y Holanda no sólo empató sino que los hizo llegar a los penales y eso para los fanáticos fue un sufrimiento total y se podía mirar en sus caras. 

>Cuando inició la ronda de penales les puedo decir que en mi vida había tenido tan de cerca semejante algarabía y al mismo tiempo tanta angustia. Matías y Miranda morían de risa con las expresiones y reacciones cada vez que Argentina concretaba un gol o cuando lo hacía Holanda. Eran gritos e incluso miradas desesperadas, definitivamente había valido mucho la pena el quedarnos. 

>Finalmente el lugar explotó cuando Argentina ganó el partido, los tres amigos se abrazaban y brincaban juntos mientras nosotros no podíamos contener la risa, porque definitivamente nos parecía un poco loco todo aquello, pero eso es parte de la magia del fútbol y seguramente si yo le fuese a Argentina me contagiaba de toda esa energía y aunque nuestro equipo no ganó, no le dimos mayor importancia. Vivimos un momento único!

We did not know if the choral event took place because it was already past six in the afternoon and the place was on fire with the celebration of the albiceleste's triumph and we decided not to wait and go back home, but close to our house a new distraction came up, and yes, it has to do with food! 

Very close to our house there is a place where they sell delicious pizzas at a great price so we decided to end our day enjoying some delicious pizzas that as always met our expectations because the truth is they are delicious although for the price you would not expect so much flavor and something so well presented and that is what makes them great. 

We enjoyed a little more our day together and the change of plans, since nothing of what we did was part of our plan when we left home but it turned out to be a new experience, super fun and with the people I love. What more could I ask for? Time with my family is always a great gift and I wouldn't trade it for anything. 

Once again I was able to prove that unplanned things end up turning out much better. Kisses and blessings! 

>No supimos si el evento de las corales se realizó o no porque ya pasaban las seis de la tarde y aquello estaba encendido con la celebración del triunfo de la albiceleste y decidimos no esperar y regresar a casa, pero ya cerca de llegar a ella surgió una nueva distracción, y sí,  tiene que ver con comida! 

>Muy cerquita de nuestra casa hay un lugar donde venden unas pizzas deliciosas a un súper precio por lo que decidimos terminar nuestro día disfrutando de unas deliciosas pizzas que como siempre cubrieron nuestras expectativas porque la verdad son riquísimas aunque por el precio no esperarías tanto sabor y algo tan bien presentado y eso es lo que las hace geniales.

>Disfrutamos un poco más nuestro día juntos y del cambio de planes, ya que nada de lo que hicimos era parte de nuestro plan al salir de casa pero resultó en una experiencia nueva, súper divertida y con la gente que amo. Que más podía pedir? El tiempo con mi familia siempre es un gran regalo y no lo cambiaría por nada.
