In previous installments we have talked a little about what Art Therapy is and its countless benefits for people diagnosed with ASD, so having these points clear we can explore the different activities or artistic expressions most recommended within the wide universe of art.

Happy day friends of @mundo.autismo, I hope you are feeling great.  Today is the day of our monthly meeting in the Arte Azul space, an open window to explore art as therapy, its benefits and the various artistic expressions focused on the autistic world. 

In our last meeting, we talked a little about the main benefits of Art, or rather Art Therapy in people diagnosed with ASD, but surely you are wondering what are those artistic activities that you can do at home, and that will lead you to enjoy the great benefits of this new branch of psychotherapy.

While it is true that ideally art-based therapy should be practiced by specialists in the field, it is no less true that it is often quite expensive to access them, and it is uphill to assume such expenses. However, there are a large number of activities that can be developed from home, capable of producing excellent results, so it is really worth a try. 

And for this, first of all, the different options or artistic expressions and their benefits should be evaluated, and then define which would be the most successful to use, taking into account of course that each individual is completely different and unique, so there is no one style or artistic expression for everyone.  So, how to decide which one is the best. 

This will depend on what we need to work on, whether it is to improve concentration, encourage imagination, creativity or provide a tool to express thoughts, feelings and ideas, always taking into consideration individual tastes and skills.

Now then, what would be the activities most recommended by experts. 

**1. Sculpting with putty, plasticine, play doh**, or any material that leads them to experience sensory stimulation. In addition, it is an excellent tool to encourage creativity and work fine motor skills, it gives them the possibility to express themselves and reflect images or situations that are inside them and that they cannot express through words. 

**2. Painting**, either with brushes or with the use of the fingers, is an excellent activity to work concentration and creativity, besides being a great tool for stress management, as they are super relaxing activities. On the other hand, it is an excellent way to communicate, express feelings and emotions. 

**3. Handicrafts**, these apart from providing the benefits mentioned in the previous activities, are an excellent training for patience, in addition to helping them to handle frustration and effectively manage their feelings. Not to mention the benefits in terms of motor skills.

As you can see there are many artistic activities capable of bringing great benefits to the autistic community, so it is well worth a try at home. En anteriores entregas hemos hablado un poco acerca de lo que es el Arte Terapia y sus innumerables beneficios para las personas diagnosticadas con TEA, por lo que ya teniendo claros estos puntos podemos ir explorando las diferentes actividades o expresiones artísticas más recomendadas dentro del amplio universo del arte.

Feliz día amigos de @mundo.autismo, espero se encuentren súper bien.  Hoy es el día de nuestra cita mensual en el espacio Arte Azul, una ventana abierta para explorar el arte como terapia, sus beneficios y las diversas manifestaciones artísticas enfocadas al mundo autista. 

En nuestro último encuentro,  hablamos un poco sobre los principales beneficios del Arte, o mejor dicho del Arte Terapia en las personas diagnosticadas con TEA, pero seguramente se estarán preguntando cuáles son esas actividades artísticas que pueden realizar en casa, y que les lleven a disfrutar de los grandes beneficios de esta nueva rama de la psicoterapia.

Si bien es cierto que lo ideal sería que la terapia basada en el arte sea practicada por especialistas en la materia, no es menos cierto que muchas veces es bastante costoso acceder a ellas, y resulta cuesta arriba asumir este tipo de gastos. Sin embargo, existe un gran número de actividades que pueden desarrollarse desde el hogar, capaces de arrojar excelentes resultados, por lo que realmente vale la pena intentarlo. 

Y para ello, antes que todo se deberían evaluar las distintas opciones o expresiones artísticas y sus beneficios, para luego definir cuál o cuáles serían las más acertadas para utilizar, tomando en cuenta por supuesto que cada individuo es completamente diferente y único, por lo que no existe un estilo o expresión artística para todos.  Entonces, cómo decidir cuál es la mejor. 

Esto dependerá de lo que necesitemos trabajar, ya sea mejorar la concentración, fomentar la imaginación, la creatividad o proporcionar una herramienta para expresar, pensamientos, sentimientos e ideas, tomando siempre en consideración los gustos y destrezas individuales.

Ahora bien, ¿cuáles serían las actividades más recomendadas por los expertos?. 

**1. Esculpir con masilla, plastilina, play doh**, o cualquier material que les lleve a experimentar la estimulación sensorial. Además, es una excelente herramienta para fomentar la creatividad y trabajar la motricidad fina, les brinda la posibilidad de expresarse y reflejar imágenes o situaciones que se encuentren en su interior y que no se logran expresar a través de las palabras. 

**2. Pintar**, ya sea con pinceles o con el uso de los dedos, es una excelente actividad para trabajar la concentración y la creatividad, además de ser una gran herramienta para el manejo  del estrés, ya que resultan ser actividades súper relajantes. Por otro lado, es un medio excelente para comunicarse, expresar sentimientos y emociones. 

**3. Manualidades**, estas aparte de aportar los beneficios mencionados en las actividades anteriores, constituyen un excelente entrenamiento para la paciencia, además de ayudarles a manejar la frustración y a gestionar de manera efectiva sus sentimientos. Sin contar los beneficios a nivel de motricidad.

Como pueden ver son muchas las actividades artísticas capaces de aportar grandes beneficios a la comunidad autista, por lo que bien vale la pena intentarlo en casa.
