On Tuesday 22nd we were celebrating Musician's Day, so it was time to enjoy the progress of our little Miranda and of course to celebrate her!

Happy #motherhood day friends, I hope you had a great week and that above all things you are in good health. Around here everything was going perfect until yesterday, since Miranda came back from school with flu sickness, so she couldn't attend classes today and we had to start nebulizations for her respiratory problems, but trusting in God that she will be fine soon. 

Today I want to share with you a little of what was in our home the day of the musician because as you know Miranda is in the Orchestra studying the Introduction to Music Program with the recorder and also she has already started the violin class to advance to the Orchestral Program, so of course it was a day to celebrate.  

For that reason the Symphony Orchestra of La Asuncion prepared a beautiful concert with the participation of Kinder Musical, the children of the Initiation to Music Program, the Choral Program and the Oriental Soul Program for Tuesday, to be held in the plaza of La Asuncion. 

For this concert Miranda, who has already been promoted to the third and last recorder level, had to play an excerpt from the score of Bravo por la Música and this time it was much longer than what she was used to study in the second level and although she was also practicing the piece for the Christmas concert she learned both without problems.

>El día de hoy quiero compartir con ustedes  un poco de lo que fue en nuestro hogar el día del músico porque como saben Miranda está en la Orquesta cursando el Programa de Iniciación a la Música con la flauta dulce y además ya inició la cátedra de violín para próximamente avanzar al Programa Orquestal, así que por supuesto era un día para celebrar.  

>Por ése  motivo la Orquesta Sinfónica Núcleo La Asunción preparó un bellisimo concierto con la participación de Kinder Musical, los niños del Programa de Iniciaciación a la Música,  Programa Coral y el Programa Alma Oriental para el Martes, a efectuarse en la plaza de La Asunción. 

>Para éste concierto Miranda quien ya fue promovida al tercer y último nivel de flauta dulce debía tocar un extracto de la partitura de Bravo por la Música y en ésta oportunidad era mucho más larga de lo que acostumbraba a estudiar en el segundo nivel y aunque estaba practicando también la pieza para el concierto de Navidad se aprendió ambas sin problemas.

By the way, this time we didn't have to ask him to practice but to stop practicing because the flute now plays day and night in this house to the disgrace of Matias who says it sounds very loud and runs away terrified every time he sees her pick up the flute.  But for a musician, he knows very well that practice makes perfect and playing an instrument is just that, hours and hours of dedication. 

And taking that into consideration and looking forward to the concert, the two weeks prior to the 22nd instead of going to her usual flute class, Miranda had to go twice a week, which meant that instead of three days we had to go four days to La Asuncion and in the middle of the school's evaluation weeks, which required a great effort on her part, but she did everything she had to do without complaining and thanks to her dedication she did excellent in her evaluations. 

So after several weeks of preparation, just one day before the concert and not to lose the habit **we had to organize ourselves very well** because Miranda had an interrogation at school, the concert and her Ballet classes and of course she didn't want to miss any of them although I offered her to talk to her teacher so she could do the evaluation the next day, which she refused because if she didn't present her exam on the date it would not be worth 20 points but 18 and of course she wanted to opt for the 20! 

So on Monday after picking her up from school and having lunch in the square she went to her violin lessons until 3pm and then from three to four to the rehearsal for the concert and while having lunch she told me her great idea to be able to do all three things without problems! 

>Por cierto, esta vez no tuvimos que pedirle practicara sino que dejara de hacerlo porque la flauta ahora suena día y noche en ésta casa para desgracia de Matías quien dice que suena muy fuerte y huye despavorido cada vez que la ve tomar la flauta.  Pero para el que es músico sabe muy bien que la práctica hace al maestro y ejecutar un instrumento es eso, horas y horas de dedicación. 

>Y tomando eso en consideración y con miras al concierto, las dos semanas previas al 22 en lugar de ir a su clase habitual de flauta, Miranda tuvo que ir dos veces a la semana, lo que implicó que en lugar de tres días tuviésemos que ir cuatro días a La Asunción y en plenas semanas evaluativas de la escuela, lo que requirió un gran esfuerzo de su parte, pero hizo todo lo que debía sin quejarse y gracias a su dedicación le fue excelente en sus evaluaciones. 

>Así que después de varias semanas de preparación, a sólo un día para el concierto y para no perder la costumbre **debíamos organizarnos muy bien** porque Miranda tenía un interrogatorio en el colegio, el concierto y sus clases de Ballet y por supuesto no quería faltar a ninguna aunque le ofrecí hablar con su maestra para que le hiciera la evaluación el día siguiente, a lo que ella se negaba porque al no presentar en la fecha su exámen ya no valdría 20 puntos sino 18 y por supuesto ella quería optar por el 20! 

>Así que el día lunes después de buscarla al colegio y almorzar en la plaza entró a sus clases de violín hasta las 3pm y luego de tres a cuatro al ensayo para el concierto y mientras almorzaba ella me comenta su genial idea para poder hacer las tres cosas sin problemas!

Her idea was to go to school with her ballet pantyhose under her trousers and since for the concert she wears the same pants as her school uniform she told me to do her hair for school with the ballet donut and put the tricolor ribbon they require for her orchestra performances. 

Then, when I went to pick her up from school I was to bring her lunch, her long sleeve white shirt for the concert and her black socks, but besides that I was to bring her ballet uniform to change into after the concert! 

I must say that it gave me a good laugh to see how similar this girl is to me and as they say in my organization challenge group she is *"multitasking "* like her mom! But despite how good her organization sounded I thought it would be too forced for her, so while she was at practice I arranged with her teacher for her to take the interview on Wednesday, with no variation in her grade, so everything would be more comfortable for her. 

So on the 22nd during the morning she took the opportunity to review for the interrogation, I gave her a special hairstyle for the concert and after a quick lunch she put on her pantyhose under her pants as planned, the rest of her uniform for the concerts, prepared her bag with the ballet clothes and we were ready to go! 

>Su idea era ir al colegio con las medias pantis del ballet debajo de su pantalon y como para el concierto utiliza el mismo pantalón de su uniforme escolar me dijo que la peinara para la escuela con la dona del ballet y le colocara el lazo tricolor que exigen para sus presentaciones de la orquesta. 

>Luego, cuando la fuese a retirar al colegio yo debía llevar su almuerzo, su camisa blanca manga larga para el concierto y las medias negras, pero además de eso llevar su uniforme de Ballet para cambiarse luego del concierto! 

>Debo decir que me dió mucha risa ver lo parecida que es ésta niña a mí y como dicen en mi grupo del reto de organización ella es *"multitasking"* como su mamá! Pero a pesar de lo bien que sonaba su organización me parecía sería demasiado forzado para ella, por lo que mientras estaba en sus prácticas me organicé con su maestra para que tomara el interrogatorio el día miércoles, sin variación  en su nota, así todo sería más cómodo para ella. 

>Por lo que el día 22 durante la mañana aprovechó de repasar para el interrogatorio, le hice un peinado especial para el concierto y después de un almuerzo rapidito se puso las medias pantis debajo de su pantalón según lo planificó, el resto de su uniforme para los conciertos, preparó su bolso con la ropa del ballet y estábamos listos para salir!

When we arrived at La Asuncion, the plaza was very busy, as is always the case when there are concerts. Children from one side to the other with their black and white uniforms, parents touching up their hair with a smile of pride that does not fit on their faces and the mothers of the protocol taking care that everything is organized to start the concert that instead of 2pm ended up starting at 3pm with the entrance of the children of Kinder Musical followed by the three levels of Initiation to Music. 

They immediately took their places and the presentation began, which consisted of the piece Bravo por la Música and Mozart's Turkish March performed with a very creative and fun dynamic for the children, since they sang it giving each sound a different word and movement. 

Once their intervention was finished, they were followed by the children of the choir interpreting Christmas aguinaldos, to conclude with the members of the Alma Oriental Program who performed a beautiful presentation. 

>Al llegar a La Asunción, en la plaza había mucho movimiento, como suele suceder siempre que hay conciertos. Niños de un lado a otro con sus uniformes blanco y negro, padres retocando peinados con una sonrisa de orgullo que no les cabe en el rostro y las madres del protocolo cuidando que todo esté organizado para iniciar el concierto que en lugar de las 2pm terminó iniciando a las  3pm con la entrada de los niños del Kinder Musical seguidos por los tres niveles de Iniciación a la Música. 

>De inmediato tomaron sus lugares y comenzó la presentación, que consistió en la pieza Bravo por la Música y la Marcha Turca de Mozart ejecutada con una dinámica bastante creativa y divertida para los niños, ya que la cantaron dando a cada sonido una palabra y un movimiento diferente. 

>Una vez finalizada su intervención le siguieron  los chicos de la coral interpretando aguinaldos navideños, para concluir con los miembros del Programa Alma Oriental que realizaron una bellisima presentación.

In the meantime, Matias was in his chess class and Miranda met with a friend from the school whom she invited to the concert. Together they played and watched the different activities until it was her turn to change her uniform and transform from musician to dancer to attend her Ballet class from which she left at 6pm. So as you can see we spent the whole afternoon in the plaza and still our day was not over. 

We decided to stop by the City Hall of our Municipality where they recently started Christmas with beautiful decorations that we had not been able to see and from there we went to eat pizza at a place close to home to celebrate their special day and I must say that these pizzas have become our favorites, they are super rich and at an excellent price and after a delicious meal we finally went home but not to rest! Miranda had to review for the interrogation and practice for a math test, but at the end of the day we accomplished everything. 

It was a very nice day for her and a very proud day for us as her parents, to see what a responsible, determined and dedicated child she is, not only with her studies, but also with her extracurricular activities. And by the way, she got a 20 on the interrogation and a 20 on her Math evaluation.  She came home happy saying she got a 40!!!! 

>En el ínterin de todo ésto Matías estaba en sus clases de Ajedrez y Miranda se reunió con una amiguita de la escuela a quien invitó para el concierto. Juntas jugaron y miraron las distintas actividades hasta que llegó el turno de cambiarse de uniforme y transformarse de músico a bailarina para asistir a  su clase de Ballet de la cual salió a las 6pm. Así que como pueden ver estuvimos toda la tarde en la plaza y aún nuestro día no terminaba. 

>Decidimos pasar por la Alcaldía de nuestro Municipio donde hace poco dieron inicio a la Navidad con decoraciones hermosas que no habíamos podido ver y de ahí nos fuimos a comer pizza a un lugar cercano a casa para celebrar su día especial y debo decir que estas pizzas se han convertido en nuestras favoritas, ya son súper ricas y a un excelente precio y después de una deliciosa comida al fin nos fuimos a casa pero no a descansar! Miranda debía repasar para el interrogatorio y practicar para un examen de matemática, pero al final día cumplimos con todo. 

>Fue un día muy bonito para ella y de mucho orgullo para nosotros como sus papás, al poder ver la niña responsable, decidida y dedicada que es, no sólo  con sus estudios, sino con sus actividades extraescolares. Y por cierto, sacó 20 en el interrogatorio y 20 en su evaluación de Matemática.  Llego a casa feliz diciendo que había sacado 40!!!

As a mom I can only say that I am happy to see my children grow, not only in height, but as excellent human beings, but above all to see them happy, definitely that confirms me every day that we are doing things right with them!
