Many households wait for the weekend to do something *"special "* but when we are on vacation every day is special, we even get a little lost in the dates and days of the week, so on Sunday after a week on the move it was time to be at home. 

I'm not going to lie to you by saying the kids didn't want to go to the beach. They ALWAYS want to go to the beach but since there are four of us living at home, activities and outings are negotiated and on Sunday mom and dad wanted to be at home and so it was. 

As I told you, in these cases, it is up to us to negotiate and if there is no way out there are activities with them at home so after breakfast they decided it was the right time to play Pictionary and so we did.

This is one of our favorite games because it puts into practice not only agility and creativity in drawing but also mental quickness, which is excellent. In fact, every game at home is carefully chosen, as it must be fun and educational. 

The teams are always the same, Matias with his dad and Miranda plays with me and although it seems like a quick game because of the small size of the board, it really isn't, because to win you need to roll the dice and get the exact number that places you in the goal and if you don't, you go backwards. 

That's exactly what happened today. Both teams got to the end pretty quickly but it went on for quite a while until Team Mom got the win!

After the game we got active with cleaning activities because at home the water comes through the pipes once a month and just on Saturday it arrived so it was mandatory to take advantage of it, in fact that was one of the reasons to stay at home. 

While the adults were doing household chores, the children were entertained with Legos (their favorite game). Once again a didactic game to encourage their inventiveness, patience and creativity. 

As it was a day for housework the meal had to be *"lazy food "* as I say to food that doesn't need many steps and that cooks practically by itself and in this case it was one that we love, especially the kids. 

A delicious green peas cream with sausages that left us ready for a nap! Well, only the adults haha. My kids never seem to run out of batteries.  

The truth is that this is a super fast dish and you don't have to be so careful with it, so while it's cooking we can be doing other activities. So it is ideal for the weekend when we don't want to cook.

For the afternoon we had already promised the kids to make some cupcakes and that's what we did, although as they already know how to prepare them on their own, they were the ones in charge of making them and we were in charge of enjoying  hahaha. 

My kids love to cook and experiment in the kitchen and that's because my husband and I love to cook and besides that we have a baking business, so of course they also want to be part of it and they are learning quite well. 

For them cooking is a form of entertainment, especially if it is something sweet because then they can also enjoy a delicious mid-afternoon snack.

Finally ending the afternoon as a reward for their good attitude to the fact that we could not go out we decided to go to a beach a little further away from home and where we do not usually go, just for them to get know it and watch the sunset. 

In this beach called Manzanillo beach, although you can't see the sunset from the front like in other beaches of the island, you can see it much better than in the ones closer to our house, so we enjoyed a really nice view. 

The kids took the soccer ball and we had a good time playing although we did not go swimming as such because that beach is very very cold and deep and the truth is that although it is nice it is not very inviting to go in hahaha.

They were delighted with this beach and asked to come back with some more time because as soon as the sun started to go down we got ready to go back home. 

After the respective bath, we had dinner and went to bed to watch TV until late and so we ended our Sunday at home with an impromptu outing. 

So remember, no matter the place, no matter if we leave home or if we are at home, the important thing is to be with the people we love and who make a simple day a special day.
