It was impossible until it was NOT - 60 comments per day on Threads

I am not blowing my trumpet. I am also not saying that I did something that helped save the world from a disaster.

This is just a fun reminder how it seems impossible at one point in time is next to nothing for some other time. There is nothing impossible but one may have to use the right tool to achieve the right objectives.

### 10 comments a day- A benchmark

All the background context points to one target that I always had. The target was to make 10 comments a day on Hive. We all know that engagement is paramount on any social engagement platform like Hive. The engagement shows life and growth in the platform. Making 10 comments a day was the ultimate benchmark I created for my engagement. 

I forecasted and assumed that making 10 meaningful comments will suffice my presence on Hive. I did it for the most part but it is not easy to make meaningful comments on posts. You have to read and understand what the author is trying to say and make comments that augment the idea shared in the post. 

### In come the lull

I fell behind and did not achieve the target every day. The downward spiral kicks you hard and the bear market did not help. There was not much engagement. I zoned out. I used to curate and upvote but did not comment on any posts.

> Threads - A platform for all

I blew past the 10 comments a day target after I became active on threads. This is the everything app that we all have been looking for. I am not saying the platform is perfect but it is something that broke the existing dogma on Hive which somehow thinks long form posts are the elite form of expression. Not saying we don’t need blog posts but growth happens when there is no boundary.

Threads have no boundary. You can write whatever you want. You will not feel deprived even if you did not earn upvotes because there is no significant time and resource investment. Users are having fun and earning tokens is secondary when you are actually having fun.

I have to say out loud that the notification system for the current UI is **** :) I am using other Hive dapps to make sure that I reply to comments and do not miss on notifications. Hope the closed alpha/beta app has the improvements users need

### 10 comments per day - Back at it

Yesterday, I made 68 comments. Of course, they are not the 10 meaningful comments I hoped for. But, that does not matter. I am not too worried about the upvotes on my threads. It’s good if I earn $leo on the side but I am having fun and that’s important. While doing that, I upped my engagement game and created significant Hive transactions. Engagement and transactions matter. I spend more time on Threads than on the main @leofinance page. I do not need to make an extra effort to write 60 comments a day. It is not impossible when you are firing short form content and having fun conversations with your fellow community members on themes you like to talk about.

Nice! Yes, the whole point of Hive is it's a community.  Not every  community member brings the same skill set to the table but we all have *something* we can add.  If #threads is the way that works best for you then keep at it.  We will need lots of people regularly communicating on #threads as well as the blog and 3Spk and Liketu and dBuzz etc.  We all can find our niche and excel at it.  For me, I've never been a fan of Twitter so just making 3 or 4 #threads a day is pretty good for me.  🙂

As I said in another post, every well-functioning tool adds value to this fantastic ecosystem.

I prefer classic posts more, in fact, in addition to writing that, I really read them in industrial quantities.

Searching through the posts there are so many interesting ideas and ideas, yesterday for example I managed to make more than 90 comments and I only make them on the posts that I think are worth it eh eh!

In the end, the important thing is to have fun doing what you do so, in my opinion, you've taken the right path for you 😉

I agree. Meaningful comments are always valuable for readership and quality development of the platform. But, we can do only so much when there are only 500 users lurking around for the last three years :P ha ha
So, let them have fun and post FUD. Fight and argue but do that in the platform making transactions. The more the merrier. 
With this I am not saying I will not curate and upvote good posts. I am just saying I want to have fun and create a happy space.

That was a massive achievement yesterday for you. Making 69 comments is something worthwhile. Threads has no boundary and one can go beyond until you are tired. Just make sure you are doing the right thing....so to say! 

It is better and possible to achieve that on threads and even hive as a whole if one is determined and must do well to give meaningful comments daily. 

Another factor to it is time. I have tried my best to be active here as offline tasks are much for me but last night, I was on Leofinance page and commented more than 12 posts and curated over 25 posts. I think I did something exciting for me and hope to do more today by God's grace.
