<em>Brazil could become the world center of wind energy</em>

In the northeast of Brazil there are not only hotels and wild beaches, but also breezes that can produce the cheapest electricity in the world. <strong>The French company for the production of renewable energy Voltalia is going to build several wind farms in Serra Branca</strong>, which will offer the Brazilians electric power at an all-time low price.

Already, the total capacity of wind farms in <strong>Brazil reaches 11 GW</strong>, and the country ranks fifth in the world market of wind energy.

The company is going to invest <strong>$ 268 million</strong> in the construction of these facilities. Under the first contract, the projects should by 2020 be integrated into the common energy system. The second contract involves the connection of objects by December 2022.
