De primera instancia se mira como una trama bastante polémica por no decir muy cruda, pues se trata de un escenario aislado de la segunda guerra mundial cuando ya estaba casi en su final, de la cual se dieron seguramente muchos desertores al darse cuenta que ya no había más nada que hacer que rendirse y buscar su vieja vida.

Antes de que seguramente este desertor muriera una mujer lo salva en lo que se puede ver casi que su último aliento. Este acto hace que la vida de ambos cambie por completo, sobre todo el de ella pues a su cargo tiene a una persona con una condición especial de la que fácilmente se convierte en su vulnerabilidad. 

Ante una guerra que está ya por terminar, los soldados empiezan a mostrar mucha mayor agresividad e incluso con una mentalidad capaz de fastidiar a quien sea y sobre todo de matar si se les cruza en el camino. 

Fue entonces una redada en búsqueda de comida por parte de estos rebeldes lo que empieza la nueva aventura por la supervivencia de estas tres personas, sobre todo cuando se descubre que el desertor no ha muerto como ellos habian creido. 

Todo este lío en medio de una guerra hace que se extienda al pueblo más cercano, pero también por el hecho de que el general de la brigada está buscando un botín de oro perdido que tenían ciertos judíos.

Cabe destacar que los Judíos eran perseguidos e incluso asesinados, viéndose como personas que manchan la imagen de Jesús. Sin embargo queda en claro que todo es una jugada sucia en el que de un modo político se tenga el control y poder de todo, incluso de quienes viven una vida de pudientes. 

Fueron estos los más asediados sobre todo cuando a una familia se le exige desalojar su casa y empresa. En dicho momento se descubre un botín de oro que fue ocultado de la gente del pueblo y despojado de una forma violenta a esta familia que al final fueron asesinados y su casa incendiada. 

El problema es que fueron muchos los interesados quienes vieron el botín, así que hay una guerra interna dentro del pueblo para adquirir dicho botín que estaba muy bien resguardado por el Alcalde, o bueno, eso es lo que se pensaba cuando se descubre fue tomado por otra persona. 

Las escenas en esta película son en paralelo, por un lado están quienes buscan el oro a costa de todo y sobre todo esconderlo del general que lo esta buscando, y por otro lado está el este trío de personas que busca escapar de un grupo de soldados que quieren asesinarlos.

De una u otra forma ambas tramas se entrelazan en esta historia, de la cual hay mucha sangre y violencia bastante marcado, por lo que se necesita tanto estómago como una mente fuerte pues realmente hay eventos que pudieran causar incomodidades y cierto desagrado si eres de lo que no le gusta la violencia tan generalizada y explícita.

Pero bueno, de eso más o menos se trata la guerra, no hay filtro alguno más que escapar, enfrentarse o morir en el intento, así de simple, y bastante se deja en claro que no hay ningún tipo de piedad al verse envuelto muertes que pues, dan bastante pesar.

Al final se decubre el lugar sagrado donde esta oculto los lingotes de oro, pero no seria una operación tan facil de llevar a cabo, cuando se trata que son varias las personas que estan en busqueda de ello.

El final de esta trama se da el mensaje de que su líder Hitler ha muerto y que pronto las tropas de EEUU estarían llegando al pueblo para terminar de liberarlos.

El desertor pudo conseguir lo que tanto estaba buscando desde hace muchos años atrás, ya que estuvo en la milicia por muchos años y su familia casi que quedo en el olvido, razón suficiente creo yo para desertar de una guerra que no le iba a dejar nada más solo la posibilidad de no poder regresar a casa.
