It was a dark and stormy night and a valiant minnow named @robertdurst10 entered the chatroom of Steemit.Chat to consult the wise witness @good-karma for advise. 

He was seeking the location of the illusive PPY tokens.

"Oh wise witness, where can a young minnow like myself find some PPY?" - robertdurst10

"Look at <a href="https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/peerplays-ppy/">coinmarketcap</a>," directed the witness.

Thanking him, the young minnow left the chatroom and was on his way. He was unprepared for what would follow.

<h2>Chapter 2: Gathering Supplies </h2>
Fresh off a power down, the young minnow had some change in his pocket. His first obstacle is to obtain BTC, as BTC &rarr; PPY seemed the only plan of attack. In his bank account his owned:
* 32 SBD
* 39 STEEM

Feeling clever, he converted STEEM &rarr; SBD, taking advantage of the exchange rate. Little did he know this would be his last good exchange of the night.

Now that his entire bank consisted of SBD, he placed an exchange order on Changelly. This sent 92 SBD &rarr; 0.048 BTC from his Steemit wallet to LiveCoin.

LiveCoin, being the reputable exchange they are required a three confirmation wait time...

<h2>Chapter 3: LiveCoin</h2>

The minnow entered the second tier exchange cautiously, palms sweaty and heart pounding. He had no idea what to expect. 

Immediately he noticed responsive pages, a welcoming UI, this wasn't bitshares but it still felt like friendly territory. Lucky for him, what he was looking for was easy to find...

Without thinking he immediately and impulsively converted BTC into 9.7 prized, PPY tokens! Fist pumping the air in joy, his premature celebration was interrupted by the quickening pace of his heart. He realized all too late that...

The withdraw function had been suspended. He had been lured in by the promising price and eaten up like the vulnerable minnow he is.

Quickly retracing his steps, the minnow immediately converted his PPY back into BTC. The 0.003 BTC lost in the process was but a flesh wound. 

Now on to Cryptodao.com, Plan B.

<h2>Chapter 4: The Longest Night</h2>

This trial would prove to be the toughest for @robertdurst10. 

Entering into the land of the Cryptodao, he was taken back.The UI was abysmal, the pages loaded slowly, the PPY was overpriced, but being the valiant (and impulsive) minnow he trudged on.

The first step was to send his BTC from LiveCoin to Cryptodao. However, what should have been the easiest step became the hardest.

After entering the correct withdraw information and hitting the confirm button, he received no confirmation...

After three VERY SLOW Bitcoin blocks, the transaction still had not registered and wasn't even recorded on the LiveCoin website. 

Another hour went by and the minnow began to panic. No number of page refreshes seemed to make any difference. What could he do? Well, he couldn't do a damn thing.

 So the minnow eventually gave in and reached out to the support. Then he went to sleep, stressed and with an undeniable sense of failure.

<h2>Chapter 5: A New Hope</h2>

As the sun crept over the horizon, the tired minnow arose from a light, unsatisfying rest. Without even shutting off his alarm clock he immediately logged into his LiveCoin and Cryptodao accounts to assess the damage.

<center><h2>THE TRANSACTIONS HAD GONE THROUGH</h2></br></center>

Pumping his fist in the air and letting out a sigh of relief that threatened to wake up his entire family, the minnow thought he saw the light at the end of the tunnel. He went to the exchange and paid the premium for some PPY, the illustrious treasure was now in his hands! However he again had celebrated too soon...

<h2>Chapter 6: The Final Battle</h2>

Ready to capture the treasure and bring pride to his name, the minnow navigated to the withdraw page. Unfortunately, this third-world exchange presented another trial:

First he tried a Bitshares account with the number he found on the side of the screen.

**NO LUCK!**

Then he took a leap of faith and entered his Peerplays information with both the account name and account number as his username. Closing his eyes and calling on the Crypto Gods, he hit the confirm withdraw button.

<h2>Conclusion</h2>
I wrote this to kill time during this INCREDIBLY FRUSTRATING and RIDICULOUS process. I hope you enjoy it, or at least learn from my mistakes. It is possible to obtain PPY in exchange for STEEM and/or SBD. However, **I do not recommend*  making this exchange right now. I lost $$$ of crypto and nearly 12 hours of my time! 

However, I successfully completed my quest! And to that, here is a toast:
