Found my new kind of indoor therapy - Indoor Plants

Hello everyone,

It kinda suck having to stay indoor for too long but it something cannot be avoided at the moment here in Malaysia where we are currently on a *Total Lockdown 3.0* due to the pandemic imposed by the government until 14th of June.

### A blessing in disguise, I found a new indoor therapy

I have to admit that being indoor for such a long period of time can be really stressful and boredom. No wonder a lot of people here are going outside and break the rule of the lockdown. I don't blame them, that's human nature.

Despite being indoor for nearly 7 days and movement is restricted within 10 KM radius, I feel really happy to find a new indoor activity, planting indoor plants.

### Planting indoor plants helps calm the mind

Since they are not many things can be done indoor unlike outdoor activities, it is really calming to have this new kind of therapy. To be honest, I never thought that I would be really into this indoor plants. All thanks to my wife for making me participate in this and now I kinda hooked into it.

Placing indoor plants had really been a stress reliever to me and my family. It is like that little garden you have indoor. My wife and I started to put small indoor plants at corner that can be clearly seen.

### More benefits having indoor plants

Upon making a quick research, planting indoor plants can have many benefits. I was surprised to know this. I never really knew what are the benefits until now.

For a start, my wife bought some **Snake Plants** and **Money Plants** which we bought earlier before the lockdown. Luckily, we had some extra pots kept for a long time which we decided to use for this little projects.

The planting was really easy and straight forward. This indoor plants does not require soil and only uses water as the base. This was another point I started to fall in love with indoor plants because you can minimize the dirtyness.

**Helps to freshen the air**

This indoor plant can be a natural air-cleaner. It can produce oxygen indoor and give back to the environment. That to me is a BIG win! Hence, as a start, we also placed them at a suitable corner specifically the living room, dining room, kitchen and family room. After this lockdown, we are going to add in each of the bedrooms, I can't wait!

**Natural indoor landscape**

It is no doubt that this indoor plants can be a natural indoor landscape which can uplift the decoration of the room. Hence, placing them at a suitable corner of the house had really help uplift the indoor landscape of the room.

### Conclusion

To conclude, having an indoor plants have a lot of benefits which I have never thought of. It can be a natural air-cleaner, anti stress tool and uplifts landscape. We will definitely add more indoor plants because of this benefits once the lockdown is uplifted. My family and I will definitely going to enjoy this indoor plants everytime we are at home and especially during this lockdown.
