Esta película desde que fue anunciada creó grandes expectativas en los fieles seguidores del MCU después de la grandiosa recepción de Endgame, otorgando un final épico a la saga de los Avengers. ¿Fue tan buena como se esperaba?

What was their ace up their sleeve? **Eternals**. Immortal beings that have been among us since the creation of the planet whose only mission is to protect humanity from the **Deviants**, monsters that feed on humans, in order to promote their intellectual development as a civilization. This movie since it was announced created great expectations in the faithful followers of the MCU after the great reception of Endgame, granting an epic ending to the Avengers saga. Was it as good as expected?

<div class=pull-left>&nbsp;&nbsp;Dirigida por Chloé Zhao (ganadora del Óscar a mejor director y mejor película por Nomadland en el 2020), Eternals se estrenó en noviembre del 2021 en cines y recién en enero del 2022 estuvo disponible a través de la plataforma de streaming Disney+. Los Eternals son parte del UCM y son seres casi mitológicos (mencionan en la película que provienen del "Olimpo" y hay similitudes con deidades griegas como "Thena" - Atena, "Ikaris" - Icaro) que han protegido a los humanos desde el inicio de los tiempos de los Deviants. Los Eternals tienen prohibido por su creador, un Celestial llamado Arishem, interferir en los conflictos humanos ya que su misión va más allá de solo evitar conflictos bélicos.</div><div class=pull-right>&nbsp;&nbsp;Directed by Chloé Zhao (winner of the Oscar for Best Director and Best Picture for Nomadland in 2020), Eternals was released in November 2021 in theaters and only in January 2022 was available through the Disney+ streaming platform. The Eternals are part of the UCM and are almost mythological beings (they mention in the movie that they come from "Olympus" and there are similarities with Greek deities such as "Thena" - Athena, "Ikaris" - Icarus) who have protected humans since the beginning of time from the Deviants. The Eternals are forbidden by their creator, a Celestial named Arishem, to interfere in human conflicts as their mission goes beyond just avoiding war conflicts.</div>

<div class=pull-left>&nbsp;&nbsp;Muchas personas me dijeron que la película es mala o no es tan buena como se podía esperar por el hype que se creó al rededor de la película, lo cual retrasó un poco mi decisión de verla. Anoche, mientras la veía, sentí un poco de aburrimiento y no me sentí enganchado a lo que estaba viendo, quizás porque no soy seguidor de los cómics y por lo tanto no tenía la ilusión al máximo o porque la película me pareció más un abrebocas a una nueva serie de películas ahora enfocadas a Los Eternals.</div><div class=pull-right>&nbsp;&nbsp;Many people told me that the movie is bad or not as good as could be expected because of the hype that was created around the movie, which delayed a little bit my decision to watch it. Last night, while watching it, I felt a bit bored and didn't feel hooked to what I was watching, maybe because I'm not a comic book fan and therefore I wasn't looking forward to it to the fullest or because the movie seemed more like an opener to a new series of movies now focused on the Eternals.</div>

<div class=pull-left>&nbsp;&nbsp;Las peleas fueron buenas, los efectos muy buenos, el elenco como se puede ver con los Eternals de gran talla, y eso que no he mencionado, hasta este punto, la presencia de otros reconocidos actores como Kit Harrington (nuestro eterno King of the North, Jon Snow, ya que no reconozco a Brandon como Rey del Norte) haciendo de Dane Whitman, quien estaba saliendo con Sersi, que menciona descender de un linaje particular y en una escena poscréditos de las dos que hay, nos muestra una reliquia familiar. Hoy investigué un poco más y resulta que es descendiente de Sir Percy de Scandia y la reliquia es una espada encantada por el mismísimo mago Merlín, la Ebony Sword. <div class=pull-left>&nbsp;&nbsp;Esta peli no tiene un villano como tal, ya que los Eternals quieren detener el nacimiento de un Celestial como Arishem, que nacerá del planeta Tierra. La oposición a detener "el surgimiento" viene de su misma naturaleza y de un Deviant evolucionado que les dará muchos dolores de cabeza. En la película hay menciones por todos lados de Los Vengadores, literalmente a cada momento se hacen referencias para tratas de atar, en mi opinión de manera forzada, ambos universos. Bill Skarsgård presta su voz al Deviant Kro, el Deviant evolucionado. </div><div class=pull-right>&nbsp;&nbsp;This movie doesn't have a villain as such, as the Eternals want to stop the birth of a Celestial like Arishem, who will be born from planet Earth. The opposition to stopping "the emergence" comes from their very nature and an evolved Deviant who will give them a lot of headaches. In the movie there are mentions everywhere of The Avengers, literally at every turn references are made to try to tie, in my opinion in a forced way, both universes together. Bill Skarsgård lends his voice to Deviant Kro, the evolved Deviant.</div>

# <center>🗣 Comentarios finales/Final comments 🗣</center>


<div class=pull-left>&nbsp;&nbsp;Como clásica película de Marvel, hay escenas donde buscan hacernos reír con chistes o situaciones un poco cómicas, sin exagerar. Definitivamente el UCM tiene muchas películas que son mejores que esta, pero tampoco está mal como para pasar el rato y mantenerse al día con la filmografía de este universo vasto en posibilidades para la puesta de acción de personajes olvidados de los cómics. En cuanto a su duración, 2 horas y 35 minutos, me parece un poco exagerado pero bueno, aceptable porque explican un poquito del trasfondo de cada Eternal.</div><div class=pull-right>&nbsp;&nbsp;As a classic Marvel movie, there are scenes where they try to make us laugh with jokes or situations a little funny, without exaggerating. Definitely the UCM has many films that are better than this one, but it is not bad either as a way to pass the time and keep up with the filmography of this universe vast in possibilities for the action of forgotten characters from the comics. As for its length, 2 hours and 35 minutes, it seems to me a bit exaggerated but good, acceptable because they explain a little bit of the background of each Eternal.</div>

<div class=pull-left>&nbsp;&nbsp;En general, la película me pareció ni buena ni mala, un punto medio con tendencia hacia lo positivo. Destaco los efectos audiovisuales y la dicotomía de lealtad y traición que se maneja entre los personajes principales. Si la tienes en tu lista de pendientes, no le pongas muchas expectativas y quizás hasta te deje un buen sabor de boca. Si eres fiel seguidor del UCM, te va a gustar y querrás saber más sobre los Eternals y su importancia en la Tierra.</div><div class=pull-right>&nbsp;&nbsp;In general, I found the film neither good nor bad, a middle ground with a tendency towards the positive. I highlight the audiovisual effects and the dichotomy of loyalty and betrayal between the main characters. If you have it on your to-watch list, don't put too many expectations on it and maybe it will even leave a good taste in your mouth. If you are a loyal fan of the UCM, you will like it and you will want to know more about the Eternals and their importance on Earth.</div>
