I think the big problem with talking about plans is it removes some of the reward from doing anything.

When you say "I'm going to write a book!", and then you do it five years later, people will be like "oh, finally! It took you five years!"

On the other hand, if somebody writes a book in private and announces "I'm going to release my debut novel in a month", you get the opposite response. "Oh wow! You wrote a book! That's incredible!"

The more experienced I get, the more I try not to talk about anything until it's finished.

As I grow older, I see this as the eternal truth. My friend once taught me that people have expectations out of you - and you have expectations out of you...

So instead of promising, simply execute. While thinking has its place, I truly advocate action over thinking. For they unlock the doors to opportunities and miracles and whatnot.
