Gold coins part I

When around 10 days ago the price of gold dropped for the first time this year under the $ 1.300 level, I made some nice purchases. 

I am not really into modern bullion coins. Instead of that I favor old gold coins of the end of the nineteenth and beginning of the twentieth century. I love the history behind these coins. 

The reason is also that you get the same gold for a less price, due to the fact that the premium on this coins is much less. Basically no more than 2.5%. 
Be aware only to buy these coins only at renowned coinshops so you know you buy the real stuff and not some counterfeits. 

The first coins I bought were these nice pieces of Ten Guilder from 1898, 1912 and 1933.

These coins weigh 6.83 grams, are 21 carat gold so have a pure gold weight of 6.05 grams. 

I bought the against spot price plus a premium of 1.5%. The 1912 coin has a minor scratch and the coinshop gave me a rebate of 5%. 

I really like these coins, they are the backbone of my gold collection.
