Да, в России обычно видишь тонны гниющих яблок на мусорках. Ни разу не видел, что бы хоть кто-то из владельцев садов делился ими с согражданами. Несколько лет назад был в Литве, так там это в порядке вещей. Ставят ведра с замечательными яблоками рядом с участками. Удивили они меня тогда.
Да, бывают единичные случаи - в августе один раз наткнулся поздним вечером на пакет  яблок на прилавочке рядом с платформой - видимо кто-то не успел все продать.

обычно знакомым раздают и родственниками без участков,зазывают их на сбор, а когда подгнило, потом уже по бачкам для синяков, хотя у меня друг недавно пакетом яблок вполне приличных поживился у мусорок и отказался от того что я ему предложил
