He hecho una fusión de la versión original con la versión de la agrupación "King changó", banda de ska latino en new york con raíces venezolana. Mi versión se inclina a la de king changó, y tiene por título "Venezuelan in new york". Con mucho respeto hice mis propios arreglos con el cuatro (instrumento de cuerdas venezolano), quinto y tumbadora (instrumentos de percusión). Grabé una segunda voz para el coro, y en otra parte de la pieza grabé cuatro voces para adornar esa parte del coro. siempre he pensado que nuestro cuatro venezolano se acopla muy bien en el reggae. Lo que comparto hoy con todos ustedes es un reggae jazz. Por otra parte para los arreglos de producción, es decir, grabar el cuatro con la melodía de la canción, percusión, y las otras voces, utilicé un programa editor (acapella editor). No soy experto en producción musical, pero poco a poco iré mejorando detalles. Familia me encanta esta nueva etapa en la creación de contenido, es maravilloso poder hacer covers ejecutando varios instrumentos y poder reproducirlos juntos, como también hacer los adornos en las voces para embellecer la pieza. El contenido de la letra tiene que ver con todas esas personas que emigran de su tierra natal en busca de un sueño que no todos logran encontrar y les toca vivir vicisitudes por diferencias raciales, culturales, religiosas y en algunos casos les cuesta la vida.
