Usually, I don’t take lunch except Fridays. Why only on Friday because when we all go out for Friday prayers, we used to have lunch outside in some restaurant. There is no such reason of being on a diet or anything like that, there is no specific reason of not having lunch. Its just that I don’t feel like having lunch while at work.

Today was a special day as one of our friend announced lunch from his side. WOW we call it MUFTA hehehe I don’t know how to describe this word but it means free, person who enjoys anything free. There is no special reason or occasion, he just wants to give us a treat which was due for like three months. Finally, today was the day for this treat.

He told us and decided for today’s treat three days ago so, I planned a lot of things in my mind. Saw the menu and also choose the dish of my choice to order. I will be ordering Chinese dish, we had a lot of discussion about it already. We were seven people and after prayers, we headed to the restaurant in three bikes.

Everything was looking great and we were so excited having this treat. Unfortunately, head of IT, who is the boss of the one who is giving this treat, was sick. Once it looks like the party is over and we are not having the treat but later when the time comes, he said lets go and have the party together.

When we all get seated and its was the time to give order, everyone looked and reacted strange, they were not following the plan and suddenly ordered four dishes as usual we do on Fridays, just as a normal lunch. I was like what are you guys doing, we were supposed to order any dish of our choice and not like what we used to do on every Fridays. I was not getting what was going on. Head of IT also supported the idea of having four dishes as usual.

I asked another friend that you don’t wanna have broast? What we decided for? He said no no I am ok with what everyone says. I was speechless, no one was in the mood. Well, I changed my mind as well, lets go with the flow. However, my friend asked me if you want to order anything go ahead, I said no I don’t wanna be the only one having something separately, lets join the party as everyone wanted.

Yes, I was little disappointed as plan quickly changed to something new. But I didn’t show any disappointment on my face and enjoyed the party with whatever was happening lol

No doubt, food is really nice out there at Noman Restaurant. I have shared this restaurant in one of my past posts but this one is not the same. It is updated version, this restaurant is at three different points at the same location. This one is with A/C. In these hot days of Karachi, having lunch without A/C is really tough so, if one needs to enjoy the food, it should be a place like this one, with A/C.

All these four dishes were delicious, Nihari was just so-so but we finished all the dishes very well.

We thanked our friend for the treat and will look forward to some other MUFTA, I mean some other treat and it could be from my side who knows but better hope for the best and better hope it should be someone else.
