Hoy les presentaré a lo más lindo de la familia, después de mí, claro... 
*Qué se creía ella????*  

Tomas Enrique, alías Tom del barrio, llegó a nuestra familia un 07 de Mayo de 2021. Fue un regalo de una amiga (actualmente ya no somos amigas, pero esa es otra historia).  

Retrocedamos un poco, mi amiga un día me contó que, por su calle había una gata muy bonita, que pertenecía a una vecina, pero, la vecina se iba por largos periodos de tiempo y la gata quedaba rondando por la calle en búsqueda de comida.

Mi amiga cada que podía la alimentaba, ella se encariñó mucho, hasta le puso un nombre, **Galleta**, pero a sus padres no les agradaban los gatos, así que, de momento, no podía quedarse con ella como quería.

Today I will introduce you to the cutest thing in the family, after me, of course... 
*What did she think???*

Tomas Enrique, a.k.a. Tom from the ghetto, arrived with our family on May 7th, 2021. He was a gift from a friend (we are no longer friends, but that's another story).  

Let's go back a bit, my friend one day told me that, in her street, there was a very pretty cat, which belonged to a neighbor, but, the neighbor was gone for long periods and the cat was roaming the street in search of food. 

My friend fed her whenever she could, she was very fond of her, she even gave her a name, **Galleta**, but her parents didn't like cats, so, for the moment, she couldn't keep her as she wanted.

Después de unas noches de pasión en los tejados, Galleta tuvo 3 michis, los cuales, por mala suerte, parió en su antigua casa, es decir, la de la vecina.

Esto resultó ser un problema, pues la vecina no era alguien muy amigable y no le importaban mucho los gatos, al contrario, quería beneficiarse vendiéndolos. Ni siquiera alimentaba a Galleta y se olvidaba de ella, dejándola por semanas. Mi amiga sabía de esto, entonces, quería que Galleta en algún momento mudara a los michis a su casa, luego ella vería qué hacer con la molestia de sus padres, pero no quería que la gata siguiera ahí con esa vecina, sospechaba que los maltrataba.  

2 Meses después, Galleta logra mudar a los michis a casa de mi amiga. Ella me dice que al parecer, la gata inteligentemente, estaba esperando que crecieran un poco más los bebés gatunos para poder saltar por la ventana con ellos. A partir de ahí, mi amiga se puso en marcha, los bañó y empezó a buscarles un hogar.

Nosotros teníamos un tiempo buscando un gato macho, ya que, en mi casa había muchos ratones y también, por supuesto, mi hermano mayor y yo, somos amantes de los gatos. Entonces cayó como anillo al dedo, mi amiga me contacta preguntándome si estoy interesada, yo le doy la respuesta obvia e inmediatamente fui a buscar a mi bebé.  

Al llegar, me llené de ternura al verlos, ellos eran asustadizos y se escondían. Ella me comenta que, cuando Galleta los trajo, estaban muy sucios y descuidados, tenían ahí unos cuantos días con ella mientras les conseguía un hogar. Sus padres no estaban muy contentos por esto, pero de momento, lo permitieron. **Odiábamos a la vecina.**

Fue una misión lograr atrapar a Tom, ese fue el nombre que ella le había puesto, me preguntó si se lo dejaría o cambiaría, yo le dije que lo mantendría, aunque mis gatos anteriores siempre tuvieron nombres bien random, este sería el primero con un nombre más común. 

Logramos capturar a Tom y me lo llevé feliz en mis brazos, por suerte vivimos cerca, yo iba sujetándolo fuerte, tenía miedo de que se me escapara.  

Él estaba totalmente asustado, temblaba de miedo. Ahí noté que si había sufrido maltrato. Al llegar a mi hogar y dejarlo en el suelo, corrió a esconderse en cualquier rincón que consideró seguro y cuando intentábamos acercarnos, nos gruñía.

After a few nights of passion on the roofs, Galleta had 3 kitties, which, by bad luck, she gave birth in her old house, that is, the neighbor's house.

This turned out to be a problem, because the neighbor was not very friendly and did not care much about the cats, on the contrary, she wanted to profit by selling them. 

She didn't even feed Galleta and forgot about her, leaving her for weeks. My friend knew about this, so, she wanted Galleta at some point to move the kitties to her house, then she would see what to do with the annoyance of her parents, but she didn't want the cat to stay there with that neighbor, she suspected that she mistreated them.  

2 months later, Galleta manages to move the kitties to my friend's house. She tells me that apparently, the cat was cleverly waiting for the baby cats to grow up a little more so she could jump out the window with them.

From there, my friend got going, bathed them, and started looking for a home for them.

We had been looking for a male cat for a while, since there were a lot of mice in my house and also, of course, my older brother and I are cat lovers.

My friend contacted me asking me if I was interested, I gave her the obvious answer and immediately went to pick up my baby.  

When I arrived, I was filled with tenderness when I saw them, they were scared and hid. She tells me that when Galleta brought them, they were very dirty and neglected, they had been there for a few days with her while she found them a home.

Her parents were not very happy about this, but for the time being, they allowed it. **We hated the neighbor.**

It was a mission to get Tom, that was the name she had given him, she asked me if I would keep it or change it, I told her I would keep it, although my previous cats always had random names, this would be the first with a more common name. 

We managed to capture Tom and I carried him happily in my arms, luckily we lived nearby, and I was holding him tight, I was afraid he would run away.  

He was totally scared, trembling with fear. That's when I noticed that he had been mistreated. 
When we arrived at my home and left him on the floor, he ran to hide in any corner he considered safe and when we tried to approach him, he growled at us.

Por esto me gustan tanto los gatos, no son buenos contigo de primera instancia, al menos, no todos. Siento un poco de pena por aquellos que no logran entender esto.  

He escuchado muchos comentarios de gente que no tiene idea. Que los gatos son malos, odiosos y distantes, solo porque no se han esforzado en hacer que confíen. Pero créanme, una vez que un gato te escoge, llegan para alegrar tu vida.

This is why I like cats so much, they are not good to you in the first place, at least not all of them. I feel a little sorry for those who fail to understand this.  

I have heard many comments from people who have no idea. That cats are mean, hateful, and aloof, just because they haven't made an effort to make them trust. But believe me, once a cat chooses you, they come to brighten your life.

Se preguntarán *¿Qué pasó con Galleta?* pues, lo último que supe, es que los padres de mi amiga finalmente la aceptaron, la esterilizaron y actualmente vive feliz con ellos, sé que está en muy buenas manos, ella siempre se preocupó por esa gata.

Aunque ella y yo ya no tengamos relación, siempre desearé que esté bien y la linda Galleta también.

Siempre estaré agradecida, porque gracias a ella, tengo a mi Tom haciéndome feliz.

**Por cierto, la vecina malvada se mudó** *(aleluya).*

You may wonder *what happened to Galleta?*
Well, last I heard, my friend's parents finally accepted her, spayed her and she is currently living happily with them, I know she is in very good hands, she always cared for that cat.

 Although she and I no longer have a relationship, I will always wish her well and the cute Galleta too.

I will always be grateful, because thanks to her, I have my Tom making me happy.
